You pick the winner!

February 8, 2012

There's a big game tonight, folks. The No. 5-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels host the No. 10-ranked Duke Blue Devils at 9 p.m. in the Battle for Tobacco Road. I want to know your thoughts on who you think will win in this historic matchup.

The Tar Heels and Blue Devils have played 232 times, and UNC leads the series 131-101. However, in the last five meetings, Duke is 4-1. Last season, Duke went 2-1 against UNC. The Tar Heels win came at the end of the regular season, at home, as they clinched the ACC regular season title. Thanks to another home-court advantage tonight, I believe the Tar Heels will pull out a victory in what figures to be a fun game to watch. Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski is 11-14 in the Dean Dome, and I think the UNC front court will help in handing him another mark in the loss column there. My opinion on this matter doesn't come withought its bias. I recall celebrating last year when the Tar Heels knocked off the Blue Devils at home. However, I think UNC will use fuel from the home crowd to come up with a win. The Tar Heels rank first nationally in points-per-game and rebounds-per-game. The rebounding stat, and talent of the UNC froncourt I believe will prove itself tonight. Look out for UNC big man Tyler Zeller to cause trouble for Duke's Plumlee brothers down low. I'm not good at predicting scores, but I'm going to say UNC 83, Duke 76.

Who do you think will win the game tonight? The Blue Devils or the Tar Heels?

Why doesn't the ATM want my card?

Summary:  Over the past few weeks I've noticed a change to the ATM I visit on West Broad in front of Five Guys. It's a Bank of America ATM and the main reason I like it is because there is only a $2 fee to use it.   Over the past few weeks I've noticed a change to the ATM I visit on West Broad in front of Five Guys. It's a Bank of America ATM and the main reason I like it is because there is only a $2 fee to use it. The last few times I visited the ATM, I put my card in the slot and the ATM immediatley gave me the card back.  I was a little alarmed at first and tried to put the card back in but the screen prompted me to input my PIN number instead. I was able to complete my transaction but it threw me out of my comfort zone. read more
