Whitney Houston funeral controversy: Newark or Atlanta?

February 14, 2012

Whitney Houston's funeral plans have been scheduled for noon on Saturday in Newark, New Jersey, the singer's hometown and career launch pad.  A few of her family members are not so happy with this decision, though.  Her mother and cousin were hoping the service would be held in Atlanta where Houston had many vibrant memories. An insider reported that even Houston herself did not wish to be buried in New Jersey.  Regardless of their wishes, the funeral plans are set, and the service will be held in New Hope Baptist Church, the church Houston first sang in as a child. You can read more on the issue by following the link below:

What do you think of the decision to hold the service in Newark even though her own mother wished otherwise?

Do you think it is fair to Houston and her mother?

And just to help you get through the day, I've attached one of my favorite Whitney Houston songs for you to enjoy:

Why doesn't the ATM want my card?

Summary:  Over the past few weeks I've noticed a change to the ATM I visit on West Broad in front of Five Guys. It's a Bank of America ATM and the main reason I like it is because there is only a $2 fee to use it.   Over the past few weeks I've noticed a change to the ATM I visit on West Broad in front of Five Guys. It's a Bank of America ATM and the main reason I like it is because there is only a $2 fee to use it. The last few times I visited the ATM, I put my card in the slot and the ATM immediatley gave me the card back.  I was a little alarmed at first and tried to put the card back in but the screen prompted me to input my PIN number instead. I was able to complete my transaction but it threw me out of my comfort zone. read more
