What new movies are you going to see for Thanksgiving?

November 21, 2012

During every holiday - Easter, Thanksgiving, or Christmas - sometimes people just get tired of their family and head out. Most places are closed, but there is always one place that's open... the movies.

I remember as a kid, on Thanksgiving, I would go to the movies. The two that stand out the most is going to see "Home Alone" and "Home Alone 2."

Yeah, they just don't make movies like that anymore.

Here's a list and reviews of some of the movies that are out this Thanksgiving for your viewing pleasure. Which one will you be going to see?

Instead, she sent over this statement Wednesday morning and she did not mince her words. (Links and italicized portions are my own; otherwise, it's as she wrote it.) Dear Friends: read more

UPDATED: Draft language of so-called curfew ordinance

The committee opted Tuesday night to put off deciding on the ordinance until, at the earliest, its next meeting. Of note: The Athens-Clarke County attorney highlighted that the proposed times are, in essence, placeholders for the commission to change or keep as it pleases.   Full text of the Use of Public Right-of-Ways ordinance draft is below. read more
