Instead of posting butt crap like this why doesnt the ABH post all the criminals that are locked up daily & their crimes, or post all of the real crimes that happen in Athens daily? Cigarette butts cause forest fires. We sure have a lot of them in the Athens area. As far as butts along side of the road, you mainly see them piled up at red lights. Put the convicts out there picking them up. If you are seeing butts on the side of the road while driving down it then you should be paying more attention to the road in front of you. Should people throw their cigs out on the road? No, but they do. Everyone on here b*tching about them breaking the law by throwing butts out the window, breaks laws too. They all speed. Broke the law. Their cig on the side of the road doesnt stand much of a chance killing me but you sure as h*ll do if you are driving down the road looking at the side of the road to see if you can see butts on the side of the road. If you are really so concerned about the butts at the red ights then get your butt out there & pick them up cause no one else is going too.

They should also compare the salaries of the employees at the UGA Physical Plant. They have the buddy system going on down there concerning money. No one will look into it though.

@mcdawg: We can afford to put the predator criminals in jail, we just have to cut way back on what WE provide them. why should they recieve free medical care? let their family pay for it or they can do without. school them? they had their chance at schooling. put them in a place that they would not want to come back to. no special diets, no work out equpiment, maybe a 1200 calorie a day diet, no a.c., minimal heat, cold showers, cold food, whatever it takes to make them miserable. The should be punished & not just locked up.
