This is a mentally ill person not a joke.

posted @ Saturday, December 8, 2012 - 22:58People adopt to build a family, for a lifetime - not to "help a child". There is a huge difference. What makes this baby in Ethiopia less deserving of a loving home? You really can't go down the road of picking one child over another. They are spending their own money and people are giving money of their own free will. Plenty of people spend that much on hospital costs with a birth. And the "benefit to the child" is a lifetime of belonging to a family which sounds like a bargain to me.
posted @ Monday, December 3, 2012 - 08:29Once again ABH - terrible headline. The only bad tidings are in this comment section. It was a great game. They fought hard and showed they were worthy to move on and win again. I am no less proud than I would have been if they had won.

posted @ Saturday, October 20, 2012 - 09:29What would Jesus do? Jesus would offer counseling free of charge to a couple struggling in their marriage - eventhough the husband is unstable and possibly even violent. Reporting a person making a death threat to the authorities is the right (and Christian) thing to do. The man needs help. And no doubt his wife does too. What if he went home and shot his wife? I I hope this turns out for the good of all involved and that no one gets hurt.

posted @ Tuesday, September 25, 2012 - 08:46I am a CCSD parent - 1 kids in elementary 1 kids in high school. I say Excellent! I'm glad to hear CCSD is keeping up. Like it or not, life as we know it is changing and technology is becoming more and more central to our daily lives. To ignore that fact and cling to "the way it always has been" is cheating out kids. Why should we send them back in time when they go to school? This is not like changing standards or some new curriculum. This is keeping pace with the real world . This will be great for our kids and our teachers! (And no $$ from staffing was used for this.) This is equipment that will be used for learning - not toys! Plus - it will allow students and teachers to being devices from home for school use which will be a money saver!

It's hard work to succeed! The purpose of college is NOT to have fun. It is to prepare you for a career.
posted @ Monday, August 27, 2012 - 13:17The headline on this article is just awful. It should say "Research shows binge drinkers have poor judgement ", which is more to the point of the study.
