He's a terrific Coach and Christian. He'll be sorely missed! My wife and I are extremely thankful for his investment in our son! May God's richest blessings be with you Coach Farriba!
posted @ Thursday, January 31, 2013 - 22:05With eight guys playing both side of the ball, they were bound to get tired late in the game! I was so impressed that the Wolverines kept fighting and played their hearts out to the end - literally to the last second! This Wolverine team is very inspiring to watch! What a great work ethic those PACS coaches instilled in those boy! Congratulations Wolverines for a phenomenal year of Georgia High School football! Go Wolverines!!!
posted @ Saturday, December 15, 2012 - 01:22My family and I are so proud of the PACS Wolverines!!! This article hit the nail on the head! The other team was bigger and better this evening, but our boys and coaches gave it all they had down to the last second! There is a lot of strong character on that Wolverine football team and it showed tonight! Thanks guys for one terrific season of Georgia High School Football!
Go PACS Wolverines!!!
It has really been amazing to watch coach Farriba operate this year as head coach at PACS! He has a terrific mind for the game and really cares about the guys under his leadership. His fear and love for the Lord seems to really keep him focused on what is the most important aspect about being a leader in a Christian school. Our son and family have been greatly helped and blessed by his influence, on and off the field. Win or lose Friday afternoon, its been a phenomenal year of varsity football at Prince! Bravo coach Farriba!

posted @ Saturday, December 1, 2012 - 14:21Congratulations Wolverines! You played a terrific Spartan Team on their own field and proved who was the better team at the end of the 2012 season! The hard work of the Wolverine coaches and players really made the difference this Friday night - 11/30/12! A wonderful football night for both great schools!

posted @ Friday, November 23, 2012 - 23:17Great article Athens Banner-Herald! Thanks also for posting the Schulte video. He is an impressive young man! I believe that game would have been a L for Athens Academy without his strong play last night. I am a huge Wolverine fan...I love the Farriba/Bell leadership team and the strong play every Friday night we see from the players and all the coaching staff! Last night, we were beaten by a well coached and classy Spartan team that was hungry for that win...and they got it! I was proud of our guys for giving their best until the end! The football programs for these two schools are very impressive! I can hardly wait until they meet again! Go Wolverines!!!

Rep. Regina Quick, R-Athens, was one of two local delegates to score less than an "A+" in the Chamber of Commerce's annual legislative score card. She and I played phone tag Monday when I was reporting the story and I wasn't able to get her comments in a timely fashion. Instead, she sent over this statement Wednesday morning and she did not mince her words. (Links and italicized portions are my own; otherwise, it's as she wrote it.) Dear Friends: read more

The committee opted Tuesday night to put off deciding on the ordinance until, at the earliest, its next meeting. Of note: The Athens-Clarke County attorney highlighted that the proposed times are, in essence, placeholders for the commission to change or keep as it pleases.
