wonder if using the technology available today you could "see" below the asphalt coverings and rediscover the plaques. kinda reminds me of the story of the fellow driving his donkey cart down the newly paved street when the donkey fell and broke his leg.. they didnt blame the driver for the donkeys misfortune......they said it was the ASS-FAULT.. hahah

posted @ Thursday, April 25, 2013 - 14:16ive never seen this in publication so here it is... the reason that unemployment numbers drop is largely due to the way the system is working. high unemployment means there are people looking for jobs that are not there. low unemployment means people have stopped looking for jobs that are not there. you cant make people hire you no matter what your credentials are. the bottom line for any business is to MAKE MONEY. if they can do that with less people, THAT is what they are going to do. it really is that simple. dont complicate it. one more comment,,,,, just because there is a HELP WANTED or NO HIRING sign in front of a business doesnt mean that they are really hiring..

posted @ Friday, March 22, 2013 - 11:35How many people, not just at Walmart, have these self serve checkouts eliminated from working? I refuse to use one of them in ANY store. NOW with this Scan % Go system how many MORE people are going to not have jobs available to them? ALSO, if you use the self serve checkouts and the new system, the companies are getting FREE LABOR and YOU dont even get the "employee" legal discount. THINK ABOUT THAT the next time you "self checkout" Just a thought

He now has a home, warm meals, medical care, ect. at the expense of the taxpayer unfortunately. Go figure.

posted @ Tuesday, January 8, 2013 - 18:49MO, Mr. Murry is doing what he loves first and thats playing football. How many of you (including me) can say that they are doing what the loved to do and enjoy? Its kinda nice to see a person NOT "go for the gold" right off. He may or may not make it in the NFL that remains to be seen. It certainly wouldnt be because of him lacking talent. Is there a statistic on how many "players" that took the early way out of the Georgia program because of greed that DIDNT make it? or how many that looked good on the college field but when they got on the pro field they literally sucked? Mr. Murry is to be commended for his judgement call to stay where hes at and "go for the accomplishments". May he always be protected from personal harm and injury AND the self-righteous "monday morning quarterbacks" .

posted @ Monday, January 7, 2013 - 09:54Regency Mall in Augusta, Ga was closed years back and still sits there declining into disrepair daily. At one time, that mall held the MDA Telethon, visits by the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, a traveling caravan of the Atlanta Braves, a live program of the Newelywed Game, numerous beauty pageants, and other well known events. It just went under and since has never been replaced. Maybe thats whats gonna happen to Stonecrest. I've been there only a couple of times and, honestly, my experience was good both times. But, the mall wasnt crowded and one of those times was Christmas.
