Beta movies...VHS movies....picture discs. .cd's.. ..mp3's...portable phones that can store and carry music and movies..(computers intentionally left out because they are so much more involved) Whats gonna be the next means of technology?posted @ Wednesday, November 6, 2013 - 18:38

@Tewise: this is the only article that didnt refer to the term "GASSED". BUT as good as Gurley is two of the three meanings could apply to him. that is only a humanistic trait. Praise = arroganceposted @ Sunday, November 3, 2013 - 13:28
All the other stories mentioned that Gurley was "gassed" but this one didnt so i thought id look up the meaning of "gassed". SURPRISE
"GASSED" --when one's head has been filled with so many compliments, or has been hit on so much that their mindstate is erred with the belief they're better than everyone else
"GASSED"--To get excited or get hopes up.
"GASSED" --To think too much about yourself; when someone thinks there better than they actually are.
Which meaning applies to the fact that Gurley was "GASSED"?

yep and they blame it on "rivalry".. it is so cool to see a guy 2 foot shorter than the players have so much authority over them. it is really funny as all get out. check out the pic that accompanies this "story"posted @ Sunday, November 3, 2013 - 09:39
Athens_Rottweiler - Why don't parents just not let their kids on Facebook? Problem Solved.
The only real problem with that is that Facebook has become the replacement to the 50's-60's television babysitter.ALSO, some parents, not all, dont give a flip what their children do. With smartie phones that the kids have, they can get on facebook anywhere and anytime they want to. Its NOT an"at home only"thing anymore like tv is/was.posted @ Friday, November 1, 2013 - 10:42
After reading ALL these comments and putting them into a pot all together and THEN drawing a conclusion, the best I've come up with is if anyone has a good idea for using that parcel of land, why then dont they speak up with their idea? athens rottweiler AND hjfedrick..... i read that they are getting back pay for the stoppage.. so what was the idea of the stoppage in the first place. AR i feel the same way . the workers didnt loose anything so why are they crying? HJ a lot of federal employees ARE in non essential positions. That dont mean they are slackers it just means that they lucked up and got a job that isnt really necessary. Alot of the military think because they SERVED in the armed forces they are OWED something. NOT thanked or appreciated BUT OWED something for their service. Im grateful for their contributions, but there are many many people that couldnt server in the military for one reason or another. What do we OWE them for? You dont hear them griping because they feel that they are OWED something because that couldnt serve..posted @ Thursday, October 17, 2013 - 13:52
Well let me apologize if i make anyone upset about this. That is NOT my intent.. @Long Sufferer: The event that happened at this school WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. It is the most horrific tragedy that so many kids and adults lost their lives there in such a senseless manner. The building is what is being torn down NOT THE MEMORY of the kids or adults. THAT can never be eradicated. In your own words, "it was bad but get over it. It was a long time ago. Everyone else has." YES IT WAS BAD but you can never get over it..IT WAS A LONG TIME AGO,,YES IT WAS but it is still fresh in the memory of the parents and loved ones AND the town. EVERYONE ELSE HAS.. People like you may have gotten over it BUT I'll promise and guarantee you this, if and when you loose a loved one in any way YOU WILL NEVER GET OVER IT and that memory of the tragic event will stay with you the rest of your life.posted @ Tuesday, October 15, 2013 - 13:26

When I went on an assignment to do a story about a K-9 training class in Oconee County on Tuesday, I never thought I?d experience a dog attack. But after some prodding by a couple of deputies, I put on the ?bite suit? dog handlers use to protect their bodies while training their K-9 partners. Actually, I was helped into the thick, stiff garment. At best, my attempts at walking seemed like the stiff movements of a robot from a 1950s movie. Our photographer, A.J. Reynolds, donned one as well and he actually seemed upbeat for the opportunity to face one of the dogs. read more
