Enough bickering...How about a little UNITY here...? If Tony is laid to rest in the Athens area, as a "Biker" I intend to attend as a BIKER ...regardless of circumstances, including the cold.

Anyone else??? Let Athens and all know WE are out there...Always

A 23-year-old Arch Street resident was injured Tuesday afternoon when he drove his motorcycle into a car that was backing out of a driveway on North Peter Street

Shouldn't the story read :
A 23-year-old Arch Street resident was injured Tuesday afternoon when his motorcycle struck a car that was backing out of a driveway on North Peter Street.

Afterall the street traffic should have had the right of way.

No Riff Raff don't... I will not stop riding..

Speaking of flags that are faded and ripped up, check out the one that flies 24/7/365 at No. 1 Press Place, Athens. Pretty embarrassing I would think.

Perhaps now it will be replaced and retired (Properly)

I say properly as No-One is supposed to BURN Ole Glory whole...The field of Stars are to be separated from the Red / White ribbons, then the individual Stars separated, then it is proper to retire Her by fire...
2dollar - "The man...was told to stop by an officer but tried to walk away while still urinating, police said."
That's just stupid. If you caught me, you caught me. I'm not going go through the pain of trying to stop peeing if I'm getting ticketed for it anyway.
The trick is to make it look like you're not peeing. I'm very, very good at this.. It works.
LocPac - This story was published for one purpose only, to embarrass this deputy and make him look bad. That is proven by the comments it has generated. Thanks liberal news media. Typical non-news hype. Absolutely ridiculous.

Insight is my opinion why this story was printed...An individual in a position of authority, that doesn't have common sense in dealing with an unusual situation, needs to not have said authority...Civil Lawsuit waiting to happen.

"Quote" Oconee County Sheriff Scott Berry said he knew something wasn’t right when he saw a pickup loaded with metal piled higher than the cab exiting a dirt road north of Watkinsville...

If it had not been"... a pickup loaded with metal piled higher than the cab..."then would there been an arrest??

    Blog: Watching movies by myself

Summary:  I'm not saying it's lonely to be a movie critic, but we often find ourselves seated alone in an empty theatre when we're watching new stuff. I know people who say they won't go see anything unless they have at least one other person to go with, but I've always enjoyed having the place to myself. No cartoons on racism

As you might imagine, the vast majority of the editorial cartoons available these days for publication through the syndicate which supplies cartoons to the Athens Banner-Herald/OnlineAthens are addressing the situation in Ferguson, Mo., where the fatal shooting of a black teen by a white police officer has touched off a number of demonstrations -- some peaceful, but many not at all peaceful, with tear gas fired by police officers and gunshots fired by some protester. read more
