the best thing that needs to happen is each person should go to these guys facebook page and send them a message. Simply showing community support that UGA is where they should be.posted @ Sunday, January 27, 2013 - 08:46

This town always having big stuff for these crusty crappy folks and they the ones who leave the town dirty as crap after 2am.posted @ Sunday, January 27, 2013 - 07:58
Darn, Mark I like to see that you go for the gusto.... but one can only imagine that you a christian man do not do inspiring things with the money in your jobs community... there is no one person in Athens that knows this football program better than me.. 1. Brian McClendon should be your offensive coordinator.. Plain and simple, his training with the backs are great, his guidance from Elder McClendon is the backbone, and finally he is one of the few that was born a bulldog...((loyalty) I know cause I too was born one...
MARK if you can read this and you want at least one Nat. Champ, pay attention..I know people despise of taking info from others but this is solid. Mr. Dooley had this Athens Community pumped and supportive of the team. You do not. Yea we live here and sure we pull for them but realistically you can not pull off the big games,, you got to blow them out. I mentioned community, earlier in the year Herchel gave pep talks and showed support as he always have but he is not the only one that made that championship achievable. I know about five to ten guys right know who live here in athens and work here in athens that was a part of that Nat.Ch team. Bottom line you missing community support of those African American Crowds that once filled the stands... They loved Vince and love Athens- in turn these low income communities know them and love them because it is a bigger picture after football. Your team still does not have that picture. I will bet a measly 1000.00 that I know of two people that can walk on and make your best player look crappie. It is all true.. good job with you stretch here but you can do better. Get new personnel. You will win the big one then. A blind man can see that your personnel is loosing it for you.

All of you are right... It is a set up to keep us divided. share the word of unity and equality... We can beat them at their own game ... but in order to do this we must come togetherposted @ Sunday, January 20, 2013 - 02:52
@RightWingExtremist: your to stupid funny but there is some smart-a.. you are to. just remember treat people how you want to be treated. and you will be able to truly make a difference .posted @ Wednesday, January 16, 2013 - 21:43
@RightWingExtremist: i know you.... you that white guy that never speaks when spoken too. so that means you walk around with a chip on your shoulder and expect that you are to be safe because it your right to... welll none of us are safe.. you heard of whats going on in chicago? with all do respect your opinion is ok as I expect the same... I feel we all can pull together and play our parts... example. you probably could not make it out around the low income place of residence like I probably would catch hell in a position of political/ activist movement type...but if we all are to combine two plus many many more always outweighs the opposition.
first worry about how you treat others then try on the other shoe.. then ask yourself do you want a peaceful understanding place where no one is judge for what they look like. then spread the word.
It is now time for a new MARTIN KING TO BRING ALL THE BS TO THE LIGHT OF THE CITIZENS OF US.... REMEMBER... it is bigger than you or i.
Peace and treat people equallyposted @ Wednesday, January 16, 2013 - 21:10
@hack: its my opinion.. and none of us were born with our ways we feel about things... we learned them through everyday life standing up for something or falling for anything. I do not always agree with these reporters and that should be cool for me... really I know you agree to some point.. you just dont know me.
Peace and loveposted @ Wednesday, January 16, 2013 - 20:53
why is my name such a deal..... after all hitmen are used in and work various ways... example... hitmen kills for good, for bad, for political gains, for hire, for elimination.
If I am mistaken please tell me... did they also stand up to the government like in case wounded knee battle (someone here spoke about) what about the mob?
It just seems that a lot of today's problems lies around we citizens not respecting others and fairness that we all are humans and have families and we need to be in positions to provide for them....thats why hitmen come into play... Its bigger than me ...it simple history. Peace and be nice to your fellow citizens or you could become a victim...the best way to be safe is treat others as you want to be treated.. and we all can live a long lifeposted @ Wednesday, January 16, 2013 - 20:38

This is bull crap because teaches, aids , principles, etc are everyday citizens.... how about no, no, no they to can just haul off and shoot up the place let alone why in the world do we or would want to have our child go off to school where firearms are and they see this everyday. The only thing learned from that would be cop and robbers. When I previously email Deal, commissioner of the DOL, mayors , president, etc about job security and they do not respond....but you respond with this... we as citizens need very badly to stand up (march) for our rights. Same goes to the plan that Obama has shared with us...posted @ Wednesday, January 16, 2013 - 15:13
@E.J.: you are not realistic... every unemployed black person has and is aware of the place and from myself sharing the news of the website....I or the people I talk to can not make them hire... to me they are picking friends, and family members... they even hiring some that has moved here for that purpose. It sucks and NAACP, Al sharpner and the mayor and DOL needs to step in.posted @ Wednesday, January 16, 2013 - 15:02
I am so sick of the county's representatives from the mayor say she is reassured now that he tells her. It is a basic secret/ lie that he has committed and he serves our county.
White people can not be trusted history shows that you all say one thing (giving your word) and then do the opposite.
I am not racist just alert to how others are used by their tactics. Example.
Property tax has raised on the west broad street 90%.... I wonder why? could this just be the beginning of kicking the current owners of property to the curb for a new athens.. maybe... when this mayor, commissioners, Mr. Berryman along with others should heighten jobs and job security. I say this cause I have worked in various fields in this community only to see employees recycled like a clock. This is called using people.
I will end with this.. All of the people here will jump on the band wagon once officials from higher ups come in and make things right... I pushing the pen and emails.posted @ Tuesday, January 15, 2013 - 19:14
I only knew him as a Athens Technical College Student and boy he said savvy. Very polite and anyone that spoke to him just knew he was all about being professional. He was definitely to be a future business owner and leader of tomorrow.
Clarke county investigators should check into his classes at Athens Tech and at all the Banks of America because he had something to gain and there is someone that did this to him that either wanted it for themselves (promotion) or knew what young man had going on.
I am sad by the way ACCP investigators are coming up with info... go full speed ahead and put pressure on those banks... I know myself that he was the only black guy at the BANKS OF AMERICA here in ATHEns and the bank never replaced him with a black person. Instead they put mexicans and whites in his place...
Mr. Quinton Tarrantino made a comment in regards to there still being slavery here in the US and its called Modern Day Slavery. Blacks are are arrested for drugs when back thenit was not the case, now the judicial system use to say that it is black on black crime (not the case), but now they locking black men up for simple battery basically putting a wedge between family members.
Then two here in racist Athens where cops are over-zealous and the Assistant DA are the real crooks I wondered why I to this day that any of my (white)class mates are to themselves and act so color struck in today's time.posted @ Tuesday, January 15, 2013 - 08:43
Summary: Georgia's three-tier system stops one local bar owner from opening a distillery. Georgia?s three-tier system knocked down a cool project for downtown Athens recently. Clayton to be exact; the hopeful location was 160, former home of the Tillman Company, next to Flashback Games). read more
