4 years of no scandal have made the sharks hungry. These are both lame-o scandals, one based on stupidity (IRS) and one based on absolutely nothing but thin air (Benghazi). But the GOP has accomplished nothing else so they may as well remain consistent with these dumb "stories" as well.

I am of two minds about this.

One part of me says that the simply appearance of partisanship by the IRS shows how stupid this investigation was. Only a group of gummint employees would do something that even if the intention was harmless, looks so bad that it can only be their own stupidity that prompted them.

On the other hand it is likely, as with Katrina or Sandy that there were too phony BS Tea Partier groups out there scamming and taking money and spending money for illegal purposes which warranted higher scrutiny--especially given the election year fervor.

So I come down to, poor management at IRS, indeed, but reasonable investigation.

Nothing really "news" about this. Just a regular occurrence in NO.

So I guess S Carolina will be voting to approve gay marriage next since they clearly don't give a crap about the sanctity of marriage there.

Actually people are leaving bonds (me too) because we are avoiding the impending interest rate rise that is coming.
