On campaign trail, Obama says GOP is peddling fear

President Obama went to the bank to cash a check and he didn’t have his ID. And the teller said you’ve got to prove who you are.
He said, “How should I do that?” She said the other day Phil Mickelson came in, he didn’t have his ID but he set up a little cup on the ground, took a golf ball, putted it right into that cup so they knew it was Phil Mickelson. They cashed his check.
And then Andre Agassi came in. And Andre Agassi didn’t have his ID either. He put a little target on the wall, took a tennis ball and racquet– hit it onto that target time. We knew that was Andre Agassi so we cashed his check.
And she said to him, “Is there anything you can do to prove who you are?” And [Obama] said, “I don’t have a clue.”
And she said, “Well, Mr. President, do you want your money in small bills or large bills.”

Supreme Court upholds dismissal of vehicular homicide charge in death of Athens school crossing guard

Whether there is a murder; or voluntary or involuntary manslaughter is involved, there should be no statute of limitations in any case when a death to any individual has occurred.

Obama wraps up California fundraising trip

He collects money for his party, while sucking the country's and the taxpayer's money dry. President Truman was frugal with taxpayer's money. He wouldn't think of taking money that wouldn't help to benefit all.

How has it evolved that we owe these politicians for their service. Nothing constructive for the betterment of our nation is getting done.

I just saw the movie, NETWORK, again last week. It was a taste of reality. Our elected officials, as a whole haven't changed, but have only gotten greedier over the past 39 years. WHY ?

Mideast tumult tests Obama approach in the region

So we impeached, but did not convict Clinton over a BJ ?

... and obama continues to disgrace us with all his shenanigans, and no one has the guts to pursue impeachment ? How many times has he perjured himself; and continues to do so ?

What is it going to take ? Our representatives need to show some backbone; enough is enough !!!

In Hawaii, Obama tries for uninterrupted vacation

Let me get this straight . . . .
We're going to be "gifted" with a health care
plan we are forced to purchase and
fined if we don't,
Which purportedly covers at least
ten million more people,
without adding a single new doctor,
but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents,
written by a committee whose chairman
says he doesn't understand it,
passed by a Congress that didn't read it but
exempted themselves from it,
and signed by a President who smokes,
with funding administered by a treasury chief who
didn't pay his taxes,
for which we'll be taxed for four years before any
benefits take effect,
by a government which has
already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare,
all to be overseen by a surgeon general
who is obese,
and financed by a country that's broke!!!!!
'What the hell could
possibly go wrong?'

Obama focuses on a tough year's ups, not its downs

"The democracy will cease to exist when you
take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."
-- Thomas Jefferson

"It is incumbent on every generation to pay its
own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world."
-- Thomas Jefferson

"I predict future happiness for Americans if
they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."
-- Thomas Jefferson

"My reading of history convinces me that most
bad government results from too much government."
--Thomas Jefferson

"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of
arms."
-- Thomas Jefferson

"The strongest reason for the people to retain
the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in
government."
-- Thomas Jefferson

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from
time to time with the blood of patriots and
tyrants."
-- Thomas Jefferson

"To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes
the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical."
-- Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:

"I believe that banking institutions are more
dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.

If the American people ever allow private banks
to control the issue of their currency, first by
inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property - until their children wake-up homeless on
the continent their fathers conquered."

Obamacare becoming focus of Senate race in Georgia

We are rapidly losing the greatest generation of our country's time. Having lived through a depression and WW2. Although many times they had their backs against the wall, they had that," WE can do it now", attitude.

Now, especially in business and Washington, DC., their attitude is, so what's in it for me ?

Athens-Clarke officials hash out weaknesses, strengths of community while plotting future goals

WOW ... what was the AACofC smoking when writing that column ?

If you do not improve the quality of public education in this community things will remain the same and continue to deteriorate even more. One of the public middle schools in east Athens lost 18 teachers over a period of 18 mos. The inmates were left to run the asylum.

You need community (faith) based organizations to work to change bad habits; not the fluff and BS from the ACC Task Force and the AACofC. Use of public funds to support all these big ideas is more waste of public money. Look at Detroit for example.

I believe that, given the opportunity, more intrinsically good people will have an opportunity to learn and discover their real talent and worth. Then Athens can make a correctional turn in the right direction. There are so many qualified and talented people in Athens, including students, that could volunteer and come up with a plan to make various community based assistance work.

Obamacare becoming focus of Senate race in Georgia

Subject: The LA times did this..please read

Interesting

that the LA times did this.. Lou Dobbs reported this on

CNN and it cost him his job. The only network we would

see this on would be FOX.. All the others are staying

away from it. Whether

you are a Democrat or Republican this should be of great

interest to you!

From the L. A.

Times

1. 40% of all workers in L. A. County ( L.

A. County has 10.2 million people) are working

for cash and not paying taxes. This is because

they are predominantly illegal immigrants

working without a green card.

2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los

Angeles are for illegal aliens.

3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in

Los Angeles are illegal

aliens.

4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County

are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose

births were paid for by taxpayers.

5. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California

detention centers are Mexican nationals here

illegally.

6. Over 300,000

illegal aliens in Los Angeles County

are living in garages.

7... The FBI

reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles

are most likely illegal aliens from south of the

border.

8 Nearly

60% of all occupants

of HUD properties are illegal.

9. 21 radio stations in

L. A. are Spanish speaking.

10. In L.. A. County 5.1

million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish..

(There are 10.2 million people in L. A. County

.)

(All 10 of the above

facts were published in the Los Angeles

Times)

Less than 2% of illegal

aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on

welfare. Over 70%

of the United States ' annual population

growth(and over 90% of California , Florida ,

and New York ) results from immigration. 29% of inmates

in federal prisons are illegal

aliens .

Obamacare becoming focus of Senate race in Georgia

Remember
when Playboy magazine reportedly offered Sarah Palin $4,000,000
to pose nude in an upcoming issue? Then Michelle Obama was offered $50
by National Geographic? And when KFC offered a "Hillary" meal,
consisting of two small breasts and two large thighs?

Now KFC is offering the "Obama Cabinet Bucket."
It consists of nothing but left wings and chicken [filtered word].

Just keeping you up to date ...

Hello to the NSA, FBI or CIA person reading this email.

Tea party battles business over Braves stadium

You should not use tax dollars to subsidize private enterprise. !!!

Make them pay for what they want all by themselves.

After all, the average guy can no longer afford to see professional sports. So why use THEIR tax money to pay for such extravagance.

Prohibition was repealed. Why not obummercare. This tax has brought so much disruption to our country and way of life. It certainly is not accomplishing affordable care for most citizens. Look at all the full-time jobs that have been lost.

We need to get on our congressmen and let them know that they WILL be voted out-of-office if this diabolical blunder continues.

    Blog: Watching movies by myself

Summary:  I'm not saying it's lonely to be a movie critic, but we often find ourselves seated alone in an empty theatre when we're watching new stuff. I know people who say they won't go see anything unless they have at least one other person to go with, but I've always enjoyed having the place to myself. No cartoons on racism

As you might imagine, the vast majority of the editorial cartoons available these days for publication through the syndicate which supplies cartoons to the Athens Banner-Herald/OnlineAthens are addressing the situation in Ferguson, Mo., where the fatal shooting of a black teen by a white police officer has touched off a number of demonstrations -- some peaceful, but many not at all peaceful, with tear gas fired by police officers and gunshots fired by some protester. read more
