Poll: Support for Afghan war at new low

Announce the reinstatement of the draft and we'll be out of there in no time.

Poll: Support for Afghan war at new low

@ppensyl:

You're correct. I just returned in December after 20 months in Afghanistan. It's not a question of obeying lawful orders, as our troops do, but of being able to recognize the futility of making Afghanistan something it never has been and never will be.

Time to leave.

Obama's vague gay marriage stance under scrutiny

Marriage should be an issue handled by the various religions.

Government should have no role on who gets married. Wonder why interracial marriage is no longer banned in GA.

It's all about money.

Social Security heading for insolvency even faster

Social Security isn't a retirement plan. It was intended to prevent poor folks from straving.

If anyone here is depending on your Social check, you're in for a shock.

Consider the tax your dues to live in this country.

Obama campaign ready for a 'ramping up' on Romney

Fishing4u:

I'm not so sure things would be better with Romney as President. Can you provide some specific steps he proposes to make it better.

The successes during Bush's administration came largely as a result of unregulated lending practices and lack of oversight in financial institutions (give me a credit card with a million $ credit line and I'll appear pretty happy and sucessful until the credit runs out and I can't repay).

I'm better off now than in 2008 when major businesses were on the brink of collapse and unemployment was on the rise as everybody was cutting back.

I've seen no new ideas from the Republican party (except some radical proposals which have no chance of passage). It would be nice to have some middle of the road programs to get us out of this situation.

UGA professor: Obama's re-election not certain, but looking more likely

To ensure reelection all that is needed is to have Hillary Clinton as VP.

That would set her up for President in 2016.

Georgia joins states filing 'birth control' bills

St Mary's website says employees have health insurance through Blue Cross/Shield.

Unless I'm missing something, they must be offering contraceptive coverage already.

The Pope is not going to like this!

Georgia joins states filing 'birth control' bills

Ga. Code ยง 33-24-59.6 (1999) requires insurers that offer prescription drug coverage to include contraceptives.

Are religious organizations exempt?

Has any St Mary's employee commented?

Why doesn't the ATM want my card?

Summary:  Over the past few weeks I've noticed a change to the ATM I visit on West Broad in front of Five Guys. It's a Bank of America ATM and the main reason I like it is because there is only a $2 fee to use it.   Over the past few weeks I've noticed a change to the ATM I visit on West Broad in front of Five Guys. It's a Bank of America ATM and the main reason I like it is because there is only a $2 fee to use it. The last few times I visited the ATM, I put my card in the slot and the ATM immediatley gave me the card back.  I was a little alarmed at first and tried to put the card back in but the screen prompted me to input my PIN number instead. I was able to complete my transaction but it threw me out of my comfort zone. read more
