State jobless rate drops, Athens' rate below state rate

Can Obama win Georgia?
Looks like Obama could win Georgia! Not only are things better than four years ago, but we were sinking then and we're soaring now! Prez-O got 47% here last time, 52% this time?!

Police arrest 69-year-old woman in connection with Winder opium bust

This case is a PERFECT OPPORTUNITY for Governor Deal's new 'drug court/alternative sentencing' law to step in and give justice to this poor woman and set her free. Imagine how stressful this is for an elderly person, alone in a foreign country who is already in physical pain. Tragic.

Police arrest 69-year-old woman in connection with Winder opium bust

Even in Iran where alcohol is illegal they DO ALLOW the use of this perfectly natural way of dealing with the aches and pains of old age. Remember 'opium' is simply the sticky sap of the poppy plant. It's not some highly refined dangerous drug like cocaine. All of our pain relieving legal drugs known as 'opiates' copy the genetic structure of these poppy plants. In my opinion, the only reason that poppy isn't a legal plant to grow here in the US, is that the pharmaceutical companies cannot patent this naturally occurring substance. They alter the structure and are able to patent that and charge boo-koo bucks to people in need of pain relief, when they would be just as well off with this natural plant/drug which costs no more than a tomato plant to grow.

Grimes: 'Demand-side' economic policy needed

Mr. Grimes is 100% correct. He does leave out one key fact though. Under Clinton, as part of the WTO (World Trade Organization) the US signed the GATT (Global Agreement on Tariffs and Trade).

It is this contract that sent our manufacturing base, not just south of the border, but to the other side of the world! Think how much better off the entire American continent would be if all the goods we import from Asia were made on this continent. The illegal immigration issue would probably be a moot point.

This gigantic exodus of manufacturing to third world countries with little to no human rights or environmental standards was in fact a 're-invention of slavery'. We pay foreign despots and dictators to use their citizens to make the things we buy, but under conditions that would have been illegal in the US for over 100 years!

And too, the lowering of 'personnel' costs for the corporations (paying people a dollar a day!) led to massive short term profits and the stock market tripled in value in just a few years, unprecedented! This glut of cash is actually at the root of our housing crisis too! All of that loose money had to find a home and it was real estate. Property values tripled and quadrupled! Many Americans felt falsely wealthy as they rode this housing value bubble to the poor house.

Ted Nugent to meet with Secret Service over his comments about Obama

Ted Nugent-A Unique Kind of Coward.

Cowards come in many forms, men and women, of all races and places, but Ted Nugent is a unique kind of coward in American culture. We can all be cowered into submission, for a while, if the ruthlessness of our surroundings get the upper hand.

But Ted is a 'special coward'. He calls loudly and proudly for violence in the face of (what he calls) Evil, but he never shows up. He does kill a lot of wild animals, but that's easier than PAC-man and it's sanctioned by the government anyway. Ted Nugent is not 'Down for the Revolution' and neither are the Big-Mouthed 'talk-bombers' on AM RightWing radio. They are Awesome Cowards too.

But what makes Ted 'special' and unique, is that he sells it like a made for TV movie. He pretends to live it. His followers think he is their 'Che Guevara' living in the foothills of some fantasy image of America. Nugent stands on stage and pretends to 'do in' his enemies with a machine gun...do you get his message...?

Ted Nugent may be right about one thing though. He did say, "...by this time next year I'll be dead or in jail."

I'll take odds on 'jail'.

The Masters are back!

The Great Corporate Media Conspiracy!
http://thedixiedove.com/
Where is the simple truth presented on tv or radio about how we ended the previous Great Depression? There is not even one half hour bio-piece about the tax rates and building projects we employed to end the last Great Depression. BUT MSNBC AND FOX AND CNN COMPARE THIS CRISIS TO THE GREAT DEPRESSION ALL THE TIME!

Society creates wealth by designing its self wisely. Democracy helps with that by opening the door to new ideas through elections.

Hard to stop.

We're going through a lot of changes presently. A president who many conservatives find scary, but at the same time is a regular guy with good ideas.

Hard to stop.

Peace and Mercy are Hard to Stop, Integrity is Hard to Stop, Democracy is Hard to stop.

With a media that would do stories about our Great Depression and the one before, showing us how we fixed this problem previously we would be Hard to Stop, but presently WE AIN'T GOT!

Why not one story about tax rates then and now? We have not one half hour documentary about HOW WE GOT OUT OF THE LAST GREAT DEPRESSION on MSNBC, FOX, OR CNN!

This is the Great Corporate Media Conspiracy! AND IT'S HARD TO STOP!

All corporate media agrees, they don't want to talk about the higher tax rates on the rich and the massive building projects we did from 1940 to 1980. They're selfishly afraid of it!

BUT HISTORY IS HARD TO STOP!

Between 1940-80 the wealthiest Americans paid between 70% to 90% federal income tax and that's what allowed us to build the American Dream. How else could we afford it? Between 1940-80 we fought and paid for WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, we built our US Interstate Expressway system, Roads, Electrical Grid, Telephone, our main Bridges and Tunnels; we Made every Car we Drove and we wore just the Clothes we Sewed and WE WENT TO THE MOON SIX TIMES-AND WE PAID FOR IT ALL! Here's the link. Go to section 21.5 and Get out ye encyclopedias... TRUTH:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Income_tax_in_the_United_States#1930_-_1980

Pope decries drug violence in Mexico

Pope links violence to idolatry of money. Good stuff Pope!
http://thedixiedove.com/
My heart has been bleeding for 45 years as I watch the 'unintended consequences' of the Food and Drug Administration's effort to eradicate poppy, coca and pot from the face of the earth. Black markets created everywhere from the Americas to Asia and reigning drug lords much more rich and powerful than any of the gangster heroes who were created in our effort to ban alcohol during Prohibition. These drug lords rule nations not just cities or neighborhoods.

Much of Mexico and Pakistan is gone to them, all of Afghanistan is under their control, poor neighborhoods in the US racked with violence and our prison population rate up over 600% since 1970! ALL OF THIS TRAGEDY because the FDA won't allow the medical community to treat drug users as they see fit by prescribing them with safer and supervised versions of the drugs which they are addicted to.

It is immoral and professionally negligent for our media not to refer to this subject when covering all of the tragedies it is directly related to. The US Pharmaceutical lobby has been too successful and it is not in any law abiding person's best interest for this insane FDA policy to continue.

I pray to God for our congress and the president to address this issue directly.

Romney, Santorum head to Ill., next battleground

Limbaugh For Congress? "I can't take the pay-cut" Phony is as phony does. http://thedixiedove.com/
I've listened to far-right radio for 25 years and I've heard those hosts be asked a thousand times 'Why don't you run for office and help fix this mess?' Every time, without fail, they say ..."I can't take the pay-cut". That is an exact quote from not only Rush Limbaugh, but Sean Hannity and Neal Boortz as well.

A small contingent of far-right-radio hosts have their listeners truly convinced that they have all the answers and Washington just won't listen. Liberal talk hosts would have a harder time getting elected because their audiences are so much smaller. But the three I named could easily get to congress. They just don't have the time.

Jesus Christ guys. Rich and famous people dropped their careers to go to WWII! And since every one of you is painting an apocalyptic picture of America being led off a cliff by a cabal of deranged socialists could you not bother to take a little pay-cut for a few years and come to Washington to help straighten this whole thing out?

Phony is as phony does. And listen guys, your little 'escape plans' that you brag about having to move away if Obama is re-elected are phony too. You're all gonna leave South Florida for where, now?

And to my fellow rural southerners, are you really gonna take your political advice from these 'patriotic' Americans?

Drug testing likely to face legal challenges

This idea for a law is stupid and useless, another lame political gambit.

16 Aghans Killed by the FDA!
The horrific tragedy of a US service member losing his mind and killing innocent Afghan people is directly tied to the maddening torture of US soldiers being deployed in a nation ruled by drug lords turned terrorists. Our troops are surrounded daily by peaceful people, Afghans, knowing full well that there is one in every thousand or so, who is a highly paid well trained terrorist bent on their destruction and they have no way at all of distinguishing them, from the rest. Obviously we have been on the other end of countless violent attacks there in Afghanistan.

This poor insane soldier thought he was taking 'an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth' life for life. The terrorist attacks that have taken place against our troops in Afghanistan were 100% funded by the illegal poppy trade there and most of those funds were acquired from drug users in Western countries. The US FDA ban on doctors being allowed to prescribe these drugs to users in a treatment capacity is at the root of this specific tragedy of mass-murder and behind thousands of others, ongoing today from the Texas border to Kabul.

Limbaugh apologizes to law student for insult

Limbaugh's Hate-Brigade FCC Complaint # FORM475B: 12-WB14938299
These right-wing TALKBOMBERS are omnipresent on talk radio here in the South. WSB-Cox SIMULCAST their hate-speech on AM AND FM! No good country person has a chance to analyze the facts based on varying opinions...They only hear one! Limbaugh Boortz and Hannity come as close as humanly possible to calling for violent revolution against the president without getting kicked off the air. In the case of Boortz he's begging for it! Boortz says..."Obama is worse for America than 9-11 and WWII!"

2-23-12, at 11:20 AM EST Neal Boortz took a call from a man who soberly said the following...

Caller-'Neal, considering the fact that Obama will do irreparable damage to this country if he is elected to a second term, I think that if he is elected we might have to do what we did with the British and have a revolution...'

Neal Boortz-I'm completely in favor of that.

I've monitored hate-radio for years and countless times I've heard Boortz say that "Obama is worse than 9-11" and "Obama is more dangerous than a thousand terrorists with nuclear weapons circling our country in hi-jacked planes", but this is the first time I've heard him openly and directly support the idea of violent revolution. This is sedition and the FCC needs to stop turning a blind eye.

And don't feel guilty! I know it may seem cynical to vote for someone who would hurt our country if actually elected, but nooooo! That's not how it is. Sure Sanitarium would suck as prez and I don't want to even flirt with women losing their basic human rights, but he's no worse than Romney!
