You libs can spin it anyway you want but remember, this all happened on the Pinocchio pres. watch. Recapping history isn't going to change anything.
posted @ Thursday, May 16, 2013 - 19:31
bobbidiboo - Bell's, Colonial, and A & P used to be downtown until they ran them out.
There was a Kroger store on West Broad St. just the other side of the bus station on the same side of the street in the 40's and 50's.
Where was the Colonial and A&P?
Who ran them out?
FTA:PLYMOUTH, Mass. — A Massachusetts woman is suing FedEx, saying the company erroneously sent her a package containing seven pounds of marijuana, then gave her address to the intended recipients who later showed up at her door.
This doesn't make sense. She's saying that Fedex sent the package? Did Fedex deliver her the package addressed to her neighbor? If not addressed to her, then she bears some responsibility for opening it. Of course, we don't know all the details so we can just offer opinions.
Sometimes I get mail in my box for someone else and I just put it back in the mail box and flag up. And, yes, I know this is Fedex, not the post office.

Regale me with a few of the many sins of Archibald Roosevelt Killian. Has the man been a rapist, murderer, thief, blasphemer........give me something that's so beyond the pale that I should cover my eyes when he passes.
You don't read and comprehend very well. If you will read what I replied to about drinking , smoking dope, Killian's name was not mentioned...
RightIswrong -
Right off of the top of your head; name a single African American man of the cloth that'd meet your lofty standards, better yet, name a person of color of any profession that you'd respect. Those my friend are the dirty little tenets of disdain that are only thinly veiled, and quite obvious to those that want to see them. A Herman Cain or an Allen West will look away and deny that the hatred and secrets exist, but they're there, lurking right beneath the surface.
Have you been drinking? Smoking dope? You can do better than this????
RightIswrong -
Apparently there must be someone, this stiff is downing Killian and Jackson as if there is some manual that outlines who should be considered a "Reverend" and who shouldn't. "Would any human meet lofty standards"......you've answered your own question.
Actions speak louder than words...Do you know or have you had any contact with Archibald R. Killian? I knew him long before he got his sainthood....
So, if you don't know this person, then you are whistling Dixie!!
Allahu Akbar...this dude needs to learn to spell his name

FTA:
Graham would have none of it.
"In a constitutional democracy, we need to know what our commander in chief was doing at a time of great crisis, and this White House has been stonewalling the Congress, and I'm going to do everything I can to get to the bottom of this so we'll learn from our mistakes and hold this president accountable for what I think is tremendous disengagement at a time of national security crisis," he said.
At the Senate hearing, Panetta testified that he and Dempsey were meeting with Obama when they first learned of the Libya assault. He said the president told them to deploy forces as quickly as possible. Graham asked whether Panetta spoke again to Obama after that first meeting. Panetta said no, but that the White House was in touch with military officials and aware of what was happening. At one point, Graham asked Panetta if he knew what time Obama went to sleep that night. The Pentagon chief said he did not.

However, we cannot continue to borrow and spend or tax and spend at the rate we're going and remain solvent as a nation.
From your post: There's something about our political system that attracts poor-quality candidates.
I agree more than 100 percent. Look at what occupies the white house.
Mahatna-Gahndi - Sure! That's correct, Broun! Tout your spending cuts. Make life miserable for millions of Georgians and Americans by making them poor, because after all, you won't feel any financial pain will you? You'll still be rich and have your mansions, servants and luxury cars, right? Nothing can touch you!!!!

I never have heard any liberals verbalize what needs to be done....just arguments against Broun, Bush, GOP, Republicans, and so on. Please bring to the table something useful that will help this country....

Don't quite understand this post..What kids? You think whipping is gonna stop somebody from B&E or murder? Not likely. The prisons are full of miscreants that probably got BEAT every day of their lives.
?????????????
@eastsider99: I'm glad my prents whooped me into shape cause there's no telling where I would be if they hadn't
So, you're saying that you enjoyed the pain from "whooping"? There's a name for that...masochist.
Don't feel like the Lone Ranger... I got belted just about every day of my life by my father and many times for no apparent reason up until maybe when I was 12 or so..However, I don't think it made me any better or worse for having been whipped.
Anyhow, you have you opinion as to what you think needs to be done and I have mine.
Do unto others..
Many posters here feel that's it's necessary to inflict pain on someone just to get an "attitude adjustment". I can see it now, a small defenseless child in the presence of an adult holding a belt, stick, switch or whatever.
How about it folks? You want to have your attitude adjusted by being caned, beaten, lashed, whipped or ???? you name it.
If some of you feel that way and you know who you are, why don't you call the president and tell him that it's OK to used enhanced methods of extracting information from people?
When my children were small I punished them corporally and one day realized that they were being hurt and how would I like it? My attitude changed right then and I feel the same about it today...and that was nearly 50 year ago..

Highlight: Would set hours of operation of each Athens-Clarke County "building campus" -- e.g. City Hall, the courthouse and Dougherty Street government building -- at 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Park hours would either be set by the Athens-Clarke County manager or the Mayor and Commission. The ordinance has been derided by members of Occupy Athens and others as seeking to enforce a curfew on public property, thus damaging their First Amendment right to peacably assemble for long-term protests. read more
