Well I sure look stupid.....oh well, best for her family and the community that it was not a homicide....still quite unusual considering all the circumstances...sad day...

Body of missing UGA student found in west Athens

First deepest sympathies to her family...I have a child at UGA and this is my most worst fear realized..Boyfriend can be easily eliminated as suspect...Police can verify cell records and location of texts sent and received...plus boyfriend actions were consistent with concerned person....Most likely scenario this was a crime of opportunity for a sexual predator or robber...DNA and sexual assault examination and post mortem examination of body will tell Police what happened...my guess....rape robbery murder wrong place at wrong time....woman accosted and dragged into woods raped strangled and robbed then body dumped into creek....Good luck APD and GBI hope you catch this MF quickly and hope he resists arrest so deadly force has to used...

14-year-old boy fatally impaled on statue outside Texas Tech Museum

looking at the pic of the bull sculpture I am shocked there is no fence around the dangerous horns which would have prevented this horrible accident...at night this is a disaster waiting to happen...which did happen....so, sorry to say, there is big time liability by the school for this dangerous hazard...

Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane jailed on assault charge

Go see Radric aka Gucci Mane in "Spring Break" out this week for a little life imitating art...too funny...seriously, hitting a solider on the head with a bottle, if proven, should get him at least 10 years extra in prison if I were the judge....

....are you kidding me...every team in the SEC except for kentucky, auburn and arkansas would kick notre dame's ass back to south bend...and wisconsin is not even ranked and they hung 70 points on nebraska...worthless polls...SEC should have its own poll since we own college football!

    Blog: Watching movies by myself

Summary:  I'm not saying it's lonely to be a movie critic, but we often find ourselves seated alone in an empty theatre when we're watching new stuff. I know people who say they won't go see anything unless they have at least one other person to go with, but I've always enjoyed having the place to myself. No cartoons on racism

As you might imagine, the vast majority of the editorial cartoons available these days for publication through the syndicate which supplies cartoons to the Athens Banner-Herald/OnlineAthens are addressing the situation in Ferguson, Mo., where the fatal shooting of a black teen by a white police officer has touched off a number of demonstrations -- some peaceful, but many not at all peaceful, with tear gas fired by police officers and gunshots fired by some protester. read more
