@Nikki Boatwright: Where can you sign up for cooking classes? I love this idea!

Best of luck with the audition Blake! I'm sure they'll love you!

Meagan we will have to talk in person and you will have to give me even more tips and tell me all about your trips!
I would never share my password with my employer. They can view my page like anyone else but sharing my password is an infringement on my privacy.

Is there an article with the Athens Banner Herald with more information?
posted @ Thursday, February 23, 2012 - 13:03Goodwill not only puts people to work but their inventory helps give people work also. I have a friend's mom who has opened her own antique booth and gets a lot of her inventory from Goodwill. She purchases items for very little and after doing research finds that she could sell the items for almost ten times the price! Goodwill allows people to get rid of their 'junk' in an environmental and helpful way, helps buyers find diamonds in the rough, and most importantly puts people to work.
If you can't tell I am a big supporter of Goodwill! Great post topic.

posted @ Friday, February 17, 2012 - 18:49I would choose where the majority of my family is buried. For me, my immediate family are the only ones who live in Georgia so even though I grew up here I would like to be buried in my family cemetery in Florida.
posted @ Friday, February 17, 2012 - 17:37My most embarrassing moment would have to come from elementary school. I was playing flag football with a bunch of boys and I got knocked out when I was running with the ball. I got a bloody lip and a big bruised eye. Worst of all my glasses broke!
I could not agree more that it is refreshing to be past those early tormenting school years!
posted @ Friday, February 17, 2012 - 15:57@11mckc: I would have to agree that kids are just as much to blame in this situation. Kids pick up on curse words from their parents so easily and because they are so young they do not realize that they are saying bad words.
The only hope is that parents can teach their children on which words are off limits.
posted @ Friday, February 17, 2012 - 15:54@annacat: I completely agree. Throwing a complete lunch away is such a waster of money. Why not just fill in the missing gaps?
posted @ Friday, February 17, 2012 - 15:48I must agree that it was just an over-the-top unnecessary performance. I have heard her interviewed and she really is a sweet girl who seems to be passionate about her music. These award shows try a little too hard sometimes.
posted @ Wednesday, February 15, 2012 - 19:11I think this would make a teachers job even harder and they could end up being even more paranoid about the egg shells they already walk on in the classroom. I know that sometimes a curse word will just slip out of my mouth accidentally.
If only all Mexican restaurants had everything written in combo combinations could we avoid making a fool out of ourselves! The worse part is when you feel like you have offended the waiter/waitress by pronouncing something wrong.
All Mexican restaurants should have the phonetics right next to the word
I have to agree that the one that kept me talking was the Clint Eastwood ad. I think this ad is getting bad publicity because too many people are trying to make it political. Why can't we just cheer for American innovation and put all political comments aside? It was a pretty awesome commercial!
posted @ Wednesday, February 8, 2012 - 18:41AthensTalks is a website that gives Athens citizens a chance to discuss something besides hard news. In today's society all we get are negative, political, depressing, hard news stories. If you do not like talking about relationships, recipes, lifestyles, sports, travel, etc., then you can simply not visit the site.
The 'blonde' interns you're having such a fun time picking on are some of the nicest, hard-working, and dedicated students I have met. Not to mention they are SMART, hence why we are in college and have successful internships.
We cannot kick you out but like I said if you do not like the topics we talk about on this website you can stick to your depressing hard news websites.
posted @ Wednesday, January 25, 2012 - 23:11This past weekend my parents came to visit so I wanted to take them to a restaurant that was unique to Athens, so we went to Cali' N Titos and since then I have not been able to stop thinking about the next time I can go back!
I had an order of sweet plantains, chicken Cuban sandwich, and a banana smoothie. I highly recommend my entire order to anyone in search of some 'traditional' Latin food.

Summary: Over the past few weeks I've noticed a change to the ATM I visit on West Broad in front of Five Guys. It's a Bank of America ATM and the main reason I like it is because there is only a $2 fee to use it. Over the past few weeks I've noticed a change to the ATM I visit on West Broad in front of Five Guys. It's a Bank of America ATM and the main reason I like it is because there is only a $2 fee to use it. The last few times I visited the ATM, I put my card in the slot and the ATM immediatley gave me the card back. I was a little alarmed at first and tried to put the card back in but the screen prompted me to input my PIN number instead. I was able to complete my transaction but it threw me out of my comfort zone. read more
