Turns out it was America that needed protection from your family. Boy this mom sounds like a real winner...

Let me help you here, I know for a fact that all agencies the food bank provides food for are monitored on a yearly basis. I know for a fact that the food bank is audited by USDA, Feeding America, and the AIB. That Palm House, regardless of your views, is a non-profit assisting those in need (whether you see it that way or not) making them eligible for certain food items at the food bank. Looking back at your comments you seem quite angry, maybe you should evaluate your own convictions instead of opening your mouth and revealing them.
posted @ Wednesday, March 6, 2013 - 17:04 by: Bender Bending ...@Anonymous Dude: Lmao, you truly believe that after all the assembly, packaging, shipping, research, marketing and advertising, development, design elements, and the production of the cell phone costs less than $200? I'll say you're part right though, the raw materials equal out to like $180 or something. But Apple charges $500-600 per phone to each cell carrier, somebody has to make up that loss, and when consumers jump carriers, the cell phone companies lose money on a subsidized device...simple as that.
posted @ Wednesday, January 30, 2013 - 12:57 by: Bender Bending ...I can't believe I'm fixing to stand up for cell phone companies, but you boneheads are making it so....
Do you think that brand new iPhone really costs $200 to make? No. A more informative article would have told you that you can spend $650 on a new iPhone (or similar device) and you CAN unlock it and use it on whatever carrier you wish (out of contract). They ONLY reason folks get deals on phones is because they are subsidized through the 2 year contracts you sign up for. This is why America is going down the crapper, no understanding of simple business principles or common sense.

The main knock on Aaron is his size...and unless he's going to grow 4 inches before next year it doesn't make a difference. The QB draft class is really weak this year, in my opinion he would have had a better shot this year than next in landing a playing role on an NFL team. But, he is close to his degree, and more importantly this is his decision...not mine... Feel bad for Hutson Mason though...

It is not the time to talk about gun control, but come of folks. Do you think criminals just walk into Franklins and buy guns? If you take guns away from law abiding citizens it will not stop criminals from acquiring them. Drugs are illegal, and how well does that work for keeping them out of the hands of those that want them?

But when my son was born he underwent several heart surgeries and have spent months at Eggleston by his bed. He suffered collapsed lungs after 2 of his heart surgeries, Tripp can overcome this! These doctors work miracles every day...trust me. My point however is this, there are hundreds of children at Eggleston, so when you think of and pray for Tripp, take a moment to think of the hundreds of other children in that hospital fighting for their lives as well. It's wonderful the outpouring for this handsome young man, and I hope he fights and overcomes this, but try to think about all the kids that didn't make the news as well please.

#14 Georgia 45, #20 Auburn 7, #13 Georgia 31, #23 GT 17
2-8 ain't good but it ain't 0-10 Smile"
WRONG!!!
Neither Tech nor Auburn were ranked at the end of the year, which is when it matters most, not ranking when we played them. UGA did not beat A SINGLE RANKED TEAM in 2011.

Look Athens, we'll never win a title with Richt at the helm, Georgia hasn't beaten a ranked opponent in years (ranked at the end of the season...during doesn't mean squat). If we UGA fans are truly happy with 8-10 win seasons and being Outback Bowl bound each and every year then fine, stick with him. I've loved the guy since he came here, but these past few years cannot be denied. Richt and company are being outcoached by Spurrier, Miles and Saban big time. And dare I say Muschamp might outcoach him this year as well. We'll go 10-2 and the fanbase will stay quiet as usual. BUT even one loss with this years cupcake schedule is a disappointment.
posted @ Thursday, October 11, 2012 - 09:56 by: Bender Bending ...I have no problem with Dan Cathy's opinion on the matter, it's his opinion and he is welcome to it. That said we won't be eating there anymore, and that's our right. But I want to clarify something here. It's not his opinion that keeps us from eating there, it's the fact that he has donated MILLIONS of dollars to anti-gay/lesbian establishments. This fact has been left out of this article. Having an opinion is one thing, financially funding these organizations is another matter. It may not be hate speech, but the inherent bigotry certainly exists.
posted @ Friday, July 20, 2012 - 11:17 by: Bender Bending ...Just because we tend to put the term "indie" in front of new bands doesn't make them cool, trendy, or good. The term "nerd" rock should be reserved for the likes of Weezer who are clearly much more talented musicians. Listen to some of these songs, since when is singing out of tune popular? Guess I'm just not in line with todays music... Call me old fashioned but I prefer talented musicians over "artistic" music. I can poop in a bag and call it art, which it seems many musicians today are basically doing...
posted @ Thursday, July 5, 2012 - 10:16 by: Bender Bending ...@Ravenbear: Lol, no. It's in the bible, in the text that millions read and few actually practice. What you're saying is that we can pick and choose what read in the bible then, correct? Well then isn't that interesting, in that case I'll choose to ignore the message regarding homosexuality being a sin. If the others can be cast aside, I guess this one can be as well. Thanks for the verification raven!
posted @ Wednesday, May 9, 2012 - 13:16 by: Bender Bending ...Ya know what else the bible says is a sin? Anyone who plants more than one crop in a field, anyone who is divorced, anyone who has sex before marriage, anyone who eats pork, anyone who does not give to charity, wearing clothes made of different materials, being around women when they are unclean. The bible also says it's A-okay to own slaves.
Then there's the whole "sanctity of marriage" argument, that somehow gays/lesbians marrying is an affront to the devotion of marriage. Yet it's alright for Britney Spears to get married and divorced in the same day, it's okay to marry for money...as long as it's a woman and a man of course. So who exactly is destroying the idea of marriage?
If two people love each other, and want to commit there lives to each other then they should be allowed to marry. Regardless of sexual orientation. I want to know exactly how allowing gays/lesbians to marry is going to affect anyone outside of that couple? It won't. What you find "moral" doesn't apply to everyone, and forcing others to live by those standards is wrong, judgemental, and frankly evil.
Ya know what will happen when gays are allowed to marry?
Gays will get married.
JackStilton - They know the consequences when they get on that bike and it is a matter of when and not if they are going to wreck.
No it is not a matter of when us riders will wreck. If you cagers would pay more attention to your surroundings when driving, motorcycle accidents could be avoided. When my old man taught me to drive, he taught me to always know where vehicles are at all times around me. I've been driving for 18 years and have never been in a wreck (aside from the parking lot fender bender once). I ride my motorcycle like I am invisible, because a couple of times a year I might as well be as a vehicle pulls out in front of me or starts to merge into my lane because they didn't look first. If people were more attentive when driving, we wouldn't need more signs. But because I have 3 kids and plan on living a long life AND riding a motorcycle, I welcome them.

He will never be cured and will most likely have a shorter life because of his illness. We don't have jars out, we don't have donations flying in to help us, we do our best. It's expensive as hell even with insurance, and it sickens me to no end when people take advantage of others in this way. Pulling at heart strings through lies is sick, truly sick. This woman needs punishing to the fullest extent of the law. You might see my son on some upcoming St. Mary's Rehab promotions in the paper and on TV this March. He's a wonderful little man with real struggles, I hope the struggles are coming ten fold for this woman.

Gay and lesbians marry.

The committee opted Tuesday night to put off deciding on the ordinance until, at the earliest, its next meeting. Of note: The Athens-Clarke County attorney highlighted that the proposed times are, in essence, placeholders for the commission to change or keep as it pleases.
