Republican Jody Hice overtakes Mike Collins for 10th Congressional District nomination

In the GA 10th, Jody Hice is the personification of everything that is WRONG with the USA. He is one benighted, de-evolved, rabble-rousing, H8er who appears to be channelling the ghost of George Wallace in his campaign.

The quote attributed to Sinclair Lewis applies here: "When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross."

With very few exceptions, everybody reading this article is a descendant of an immigrant or two. There is a plaque at the base of the Statue of Liberty in NY Harbor, which reads, in part:

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

UGA grad played role in year's biggest political upset, Eric Cantor ousted by Tea Party's David Brat

"Brat vs. Cantor" was an electoral choice between Tweedle-Dumb and Tweedle-Fascist. ho-hum.
I'll be more interested when a UGA grad takes a pivotal role in creating World Peace. -Or making solar energy more plentiful and more economical than fossil fuels. -Or restoring journalistic Capital-"I" Integrity into the MSM.

First, let me compliment you on repeating today's TEA/GOP Echo Chamber Talking Points so clearly.

Second, President Obama has issued the FEWEST Executive Orders of any two-term president since Franklin Roosevelt.
Truman: 907
Eisenhower: 484
Johnson: 325
Nixon: 346
Reagan: 381
Clinton: 364
Bush: 291
** Obama: 168 ** (as of 1-21-2014)

Third, here is an index of PBO's Executive Orders as compiled by the National Archive. I ask you and your little friend @prophet to go through them, and report back to the room exactly which Executive Orders are normal business for the president, and exactly which Executive Orders have turned Barack Obama's presidency into a "TYRANNY"!

AIPAC is fond of repeating the line "Israel is America's ONLY friend in the Middle East." That's ironic, because before Israel, America had NO enemies in the Middle East.

The population of Israel is ~8,000,000. In 2012, US taxpayers gave Israel $3,100,000,000 in economic and military aid. That works out to ~$390 per Israeli. SEE:

Israel is the last remaining Apartheid state in the "western" world. WHY the USA unconditionally gives BILLIONS of dollars to a rogue state is beyond me. It is a real tribute the power of the zionist Lobby in Washington that this pissant little nation siphons our wealth, AND controls US foreign policy in the Middle East.

I wonder how much of the $3 billion we give them comes back to the US as "campaign contributions" to US politicians.

The TEA/GOP cannot beat PBO in the political arena, so they're carrying their obstructionist crusade into the courts, where NO federal judge is going to want to get in the middle of a constitutional separation-of-powers food fight.

Boener and the TEA/GOP ought to get off their fat asses and LEGISLATE! That's what we overpay them to do. Why do they think that many people call the TEA/GOP the Party of NO?

This stupid, impotent, stunt is emblematic of why John Boener is the most derided Speaker in recent memory, if he's not the

I agree with Sen. Elizabeth Warren on the ramifications of the SCOTUS' "Corporate Person trumps Human Personhood" approach to jurisprudence:

“You follow this pro-corporate trend to its logical conclusion, and sooner or later you’ll end up with a Supreme Court that functions as a wholly owned subsidiary of big business,” Warren said.

Senate Q&A: Perdue, Kingston on same side when it comes to immigration

"Immigration Reform" presents an existential threat to the TEA/GOP.

The 21st century American conservative movement caters exclusively to cranky. old. white. men, and to corporate greed. Immigrants tend to be hopeful, young, men and women with non-pale skin color, and who are usually the low-paid economic victims of the corporate culture. They - obviously - tend to NOT identify with the TEA/GOP, and they tend to vote Democratic. The TEA/GOP's Base erodes daily as the cranky old white folks die off; and the TEA/GOP shows absolutely NO interest in welcoming these new people into their "big tent", which nowadays looks more like a snotty white handkerchief than a tent.
It's simple demographics.

Therefore, as long as the TEA/GOP has a breath left in its body, it will fight, obstruct, slow-walk, misdirect, divert, place absurd conditions upon, and otherwise do everything in its power to prevent any meaningful immigration reform. Their *very existence* depends on preventing brown-skins from getting the vote. Anything they say to the contrary is deception.

Wow. That's a really powerful document.

Every citizen over the age of 30 should be required to make a pilgrimage to the National Archives in D.C. to read and reflect upon those documents which formed the legal foundation of this nation.

The point of this story,
the point of this song,
Is don't put your troops
where they don't belong.

Turns out, the "pre-emptive" invasion of the sovereign nation of Iraq was an act of naked imperialism. EACH and EVERY one of the reasons that the NeoCons gave us-the-People WHY the USA had to go to war have been proven FALSE, FALSE, FALSE.

I, for one, will not allow those same warmongrels to tell us more lies so they can salvage their reputations. The 2003 Iraq invasion was not "a mistake". It was an intentional, purposeful, and UNLAWFUL act of aggression. Cheney, Rice, Wolfowitz, Krystol, Rumsfeld, and oh yeah, the Dismal W, should ALL be serving prison sentences in the Hague right now.

Those corrupt, lyin' sombitches fooled us once, and Shame on them.

The Democrats had to rely on the misinformation given to them by the dys-administration of Bush/Cheney. History has shown that the NeoCon warmongrels LIED THROUGH THEIR TEETH to to "manufacture consent" of the American People in their run up to war.

WHY do you think this corrupt, lying SOB wants to re-send America's youth to fight and die in the Middle East? Is it Patriotism or is it Profit?

AND YET, the jack-booted feces-flingers @ FAUXNews can only SCREAM about an inconsequential POW exchange.
AND SADLY, the other members of the corporate-owned MSM take their talking points from FAUXNews, and thus the national discourse is diverted from the things that matter, to FAUXNews 24/7 eternal attack on the US President.

Today's editorial cartoon

It appears that President Obama wishes to end the 13-years-and-counting Bush/Obama Perma-War Against the Middle East by 2016. I, for one, am highly skeptical that he will.

SO of course PBO, as Commander-in-Chief, wants to repatriate all US POWs. IF Mr. Bergdahl behaved dishonorably, then let us deal with it via court martial.

What offends me is the TEA/GOP Smear Wurlitzer, FAUXNews, and the TEA/GOP Echo Chamber all acting like a snarling pack of rabid, hate-filled dogs, wanting to slash President Obama's throat for ANYdamnthing and EVERYdamnthing he does, says, encourages, comments on, poots, or offers as policy.
If PBO had NOT retrieved Bergdahl, then the TEA/GOP Smear Wurlitzer, FAUXNews, and the TEA/GOP Echo Chamber would have viciously attacked PBO for "leaving a soldier behind", like a snarling pack of rabid hate-filled mutts.

Most people can see that the TEA/GOP base is not much more than a snarling pack of rabid hate-filled mutts - or to use a psychological jargon, the TEA/GOP suffers from Terminal Obama Derangement Disorder. They are incapable of compassion for anything "Obama", and they hate Obama more than they love America.

We shouldn't be surprised. The Neo - Conservative movement has been blind to the Law of Karma and to the Law of Unintended Consequences ever since St. Ronald I was POTUS in 1980.
