Wrightsville woman arrested for spanking customer's child

@ To posters:

Off Topic for sure; Viet Nam!

This is probably not the place or time; Viet Nam was a combat against communist aggression.China and Russia was supplying North Viet Nam with weapons. Their agenda was to advance communism.I happened to be one in ' the know'. Regardless of what you heard in the liberal media here....I know what was really going on.....It was never about North Viet Nam!

We beat Russia And China..........

We Won! .........God Bless America!......nuff said....

Wrightsville woman arrested for spanking customer's child
Thomas Jefferson Snodgrass -

Exactly. And, as there is evidence of a crime being committed, namely the crime of Battery; and as the belt was used as the instrument of that crime, it stands to reason that the belt can be described as a weapon - in this case, as surely even you can see, was used to commit battery.

Unless you think that the striking of another person is perfectly normal behavior, especially when that person is not under your guardianship.

The intent here was to strike the child. As I showed before, the child was restrained from causing any more harm prior to the assault. There was no need for escalation. The violence on the part of the store clerk was gratuitous.

And I can see that even when a crime is committed against a child, I can count on you to turn your head and pretend it didn't happen.
The crime was an unruly child trowing an object at the employee.( disregarding the stupid parent )...

Your service in Viet Nam had nothing to do with defending freedom, and everything to do with the outsized ego of "Bombs and Butter" Johnson and his evil minion McNamara.
Well Sir!; my apology:

I thought I was doing the right thing! I wish that I'd contacted you before doing my patriotic duty. You surely could have set me straight.I guess a lot of people should have had your expertise before rendering life and limb for 'the cause '. There is approx. 76,000 servicemen who could have used this knowledge. Where were you when we NEEDED you? Do you realize the lives you could have saved?

Yet; you're worried about a child getting a spanking from someone who was trying to correct their behavior?

America! You Gotta' love it!

That's what our justice system is for. It teaches people that they cannot assault others without consequences.
Thomas Jefferson Snodgrass -

Presumably you have served in the armed forces...yet you cannot overpower an 8 year old boy without resorting to physical violence after he's restrained?

You're a credit to the service.
@ TJS: Something you need to think about; Children are going to be taught lessons either IN the home, or out in LIFE! I advocate teaching them IN the home. Lessons learned OUTSIDE the home are usually not politically correct nor compassionate. Let one of your kids throw a jar at some thug in Atlanta and see what the results are. A belt whipping would be nice compared to what he/ she would get. BTW; nice of you to bring my service record into it.I served two tours in Viet Nam just so you could have the right to share your opinion! THANKS for YOUR service!

Or possibly not. Please don't make stuff up - it only makes you look foolish.

Is it OK for me to grab your child off the street and administer a beating with a belt? You seem to be giving me permission, but I just want to check before I get down to it.

As you showed before the the child was restrained? From causing any more harm?

The INTENT here was to teach the child not to throw stuff at other people. Duh! There is a certain responsibility we need to adhere to when going out in public... ...called the rights of others........you do understand that........right?......

    Blog: Watching movies by myself

Summary:  I'm not saying it's lonely to be a movie critic, but we often find ourselves seated alone in an empty theatre when we're watching new stuff. I know people who say they won't go see anything unless they have at least one other person to go with, but I've always enjoyed having the place to myself. No cartoons on racism

As you might imagine, the vast majority of the editorial cartoons available these days for publication through the syndicate which supplies cartoons to the Athens Banner-Herald/OnlineAthens are addressing the situation in Ferguson, Mo., where the fatal shooting of a black teen by a white police officer has touched off a number of demonstrations -- some peaceful, but many not at all peaceful, with tear gas fired by police officers and gunshots fired by some protester. read more
