I'd like to say congratulations to which ever... DIP-STICK prosecutor.... that plead down holding a knife to a victim's throat during an armed robbery to "sudden snatch" while dropping the aggravated assault...
you got him 5 years away with all those charges when you should have went for MAX... the progression from property offenses to a violent offense against a person in a relatively short amount of time was your clue Sherlock.. now that he's back in 4 years ( good time for early release) he has progress to sexual deviance to random strangers... I hope Parole puts him back for at least 80% of his original sentenceposted @ Monday, December 9, 2013 - 14:44

This reminds me of the Super Speak &Spell and Super Speak & Maths gadgets I bought my kids in the early 1990s... the sound was a little annoying, but I did notice my kids speed in answering the machine improve... got better marks in those early years on spelling than I did... Neither of my kids can match me in mathematics, though... which I say good for them.. less noise in the brain.

the different color gloves is a good clue... the blue glove are nitrile gloves and the light yellow are latex... its pretty uncommon for folks to buy both kinds for home use so these numb nuts probably took them from work or had their ladies do it for them... common use for these "exam" gloves are medical service and facility, laboratories either professional or college, janitorial services, and some food preparation... they would most certainly be found in the chicken processing industry (along with many probationers and convicts).... it sounds like a needle in a hay stack clue, but a good criminal investigator knows how to work that into the search... these two planned well using gloves and layers of clothes that they could quickly change and get ride of... but the clothes look kinda stylish, so they may not have been obtained specially for the robbery and someone may recognize the guysposted @ Friday, December 6, 2013 - 06:09
If the severity of the offense was minor enough that no one was arrested at the scene... then the names and addresses should have been left out of this blotter post... including the snipe about one person's employment was kinda petty for the staff writer, did ya think that might shame the person into not asserting their rights to take out a warrant for simple battery because they fear discipline at work for a totally personal matter.. even more petty for folks complaining of a privileged class.... perspective folksposted @ Friday, December 6, 2013 - 05:20
Let's see... I didn't get to keep my personal healthcare program or the one for my employees which my business used to pay 80% of their plan (having my folks at work means profit)... now I shift 80% to them to pay (cheaper to hire temp workers if folks or their families are sick)..
job numbers falsified by government tampering with the meaning of word unemployed (this one isn't Barrack's felt.. it started during Clinton's years)
stock market inflated and waiting for the largest crash in history (that was from a comment of a CNBC expert, Barrack isn't running this policy and doesn't have the knowledge to challenge his Fed leaders)
claims of deficit reduction after creating the largest deficit spending in the history of the world left alone the history of our nation (just more progressive twisting of reality and spin for the stupid folks not paying attention)
the continued lies and finger pointing over the death of a border agent, IRS, EPA, Benghazi, violations of sunshine laws, Affordable Care Act exemption to political donors, and the failure of the healthcare exchange computer system......

so... with the increased patrols to deter the rash of muggings and armed robbery on the other side of downtown and the reports in the blotter of women being beaten all over the county and the usual drug involved home invasions and beatings ramping up for the holidays...
the GRITS customers, a privileged homogenous group within our community's melting pot, get a special enforcement operation on crosswalk violations, one might say because the sun now sets when the progressives are walking across the street for dinner...

Note to headline writer... two out of three notes are death threats, you should have focused on those instead of the sophomoric "inbred upsets resident"..
I totally disagree with the officer on this one... you did nothing about a man who's moved from bullying his female neighbor to now attempting to terrorize her with death threats.... you've proven to the man that the police will do nothing about his behavior so now it will escalate to some form of property damage or violent encounter....posted @ Saturday, November 23, 2013 - 09:05
A posting about retailers using the holiday that doesn't mention.... hint, hint... the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade.... I guess its a generation thing, the kids don't see that as advertising anymore....
what a bunch of whiners, America has become... retail pays time and a half for working on a national holiday.. America allowed retailers to trample all over the religious aspect of the Thanksgiving holiday... so, live with the problem or find a better job that respects you... retail workers are tools, you can thank Wall St for thatposted @ Saturday, November 23, 2013 - 03:41

Hell's bells it is... creationism is not a scientific theory.. it is a dream, one which Christ might ask why his followers are judging people and not feeding them... you are right when you said creationism is not Christianity...
you're laying ash and trash.... The prosecution has a case of sour grapes on this one because the GBI -DNA lab was caught with their pants down.... come on, who in that jurisdiction working for the courts would not have read that book about the most famous case in a century for that area.. even I have read the book...
the GA Supreme Court ordered the hearing over DNA, not the other elements of the case... it would be an easy appeal to win for the state if the judge wrote a finding that even hinted, quaked, or smelled like Rose's theories of the case..... for our state's continued legitimacy in it's capital punishment the DNA should be tested.... if the GBI lab hadn't screwed up the first re-test with our modern technology this wouldn't be necessaryposted @ Friday, November 22, 2013 - 19:12

You, Sir have NO MORAL AUTHORITY.. guess you should ban me for having a valid opinion....

I got a somewhat related topic... do these new blue headlights at night half blind anyone else?? I'm not talking the expensive European cars, I'm talking the guy & girls cruising with cheap after market bulbs (although they charge an arm & a leg for those colored bulbs)
those pure white headlights are extremely bright but they don't seem to blur my vision as much as the dang blue tint.. the purple tints and the old yellowish sodium tint headlights aren't that bad....
I wonder if officers in Georgia could issue citations for the blue tint headlights?posted @ Sunday, November 10, 2013 - 14:58
swhitney - Apparently, very few of the posters on this site have ever been the victim of hate speech.
in reality.. hate speech on this Athens Banner website has been directed at me several times over the years....
if the kids want to protest.. good for them, gave the internet troll exactly what they wanted... Liberalism has been in control of UGA for decades.. no real need to protest...using the UGA police to investigate a school ethics policy violation is over kill by any definition of the situation..
the reality is the kids don't have enough to do if they had time to react to this.. we need young people helping at the charities in Athens and surrounding communities... instead of protesting.. I challenge this group of students to meet me and my family in Atlanta for Hosea Feed the Hungry coming up for Thanksgiving... Better yet, start their own version of the program in Athens.. we have over 500 homeless and thousands of poor families in need... instead of wasting their energy in protesting one individual... change our community for the better..
