But don't worry, the president said he will be sure OK has everything they need....even though the country is bankrupt--we can just print more money.
It is important to be fiscally responsible so that you can help out when we have a disaster such as this. Forgive me for using such big words as fiscally responsible. I realize most have no idea what that concept means.

wow...

@Oh-brother: Moral? What? So, the slaughter of babies daily is fine, no morality problem there, but paying taxes in immoral?
posted @ Tuesday, May 21, 2013 - 19:26@SarahFlo: Unreal. Yes, we are all helping and sending $$ to OK. But to say that taking a stand against government corruption is disgraceful? What? What the IRS did is ILLEGAL. Before you spout that crap "pay taxes like the rest of us" why don't you find out what they were actually upset about.
Wow, talk about disgraceful---your stupidity is disgraceful.
@seagra: There is so much b.s. in your "paragraph" that I don't even know where to begin. I guess The dems and their so called "plans" are bankrupting our country, not to mention what they are doing to the morality of the country.
posted @ Saturday, May 18, 2013 - 11:21@Turbo: Wow, you are having a tough time here. You made the statement that the "tightwads" were in town, meaning GOP. My statement said that the facts will show that GOP's give more money to charities than do dems.--thus refuting your statement that GOP's are "tightwads". Can you follow that???
wow...just wow...

Put your sandals on and skip down to the earth fare store and if you happen to get mugged on the way, just yell for help like a little girl. I am sure someone will hear you and rush over to assist you. Then come on over and get some great counseling that I am sure you will need after such a horrific experience.

She apologized and said the right things and I think most people can forgive when you try to make things right. I think she learned a lesson--let's hope.

I guess under the definition of idiot I will find your picture.
More money will not equal better results...ever.
Will people ever wake up and realize that all of our problems in society today can be traced back to a break down in the family? You can tell a huge difference in kids at school who come from 2 parent families. You can trace back mass shootings to family problems. But, it would take an incredible amount of work to strengthen families and it isn't politically correct, so let's just throw some money at a problem, or make a new law, and everything will be fine.......... ugggg.
Very, Very sad story.

Rep. Regina Quick, R-Athens, was one of two local delegates to score less than an "A+" in the Chamber of Commerce's annual legislative score card. She and I played phone tag Monday when I was reporting the story and I wasn't able to get her comments in a timely fashion. Instead, she sent over this statement Wednesday morning and she did not mince her words. (Links and italicized portions are my own; otherwise, it's as she wrote it.) Dear Friends: read more

Of note: The Athens-Clarke County attorney highlighted that the proposed times are, in essence, placeholders for the commission to change or keep as it pleases.
