@woofie11: classic, once again...oh I'm sorry, you need it simpler put, show me where the stock market is down, or housing, or the auto industry, or American Tech, or manufacturing..
oh you can't? that's right, now go look at where we were 8 years ago, we were in a bottomless Bush pit.
posted @ Sunday, May 19, 2013 - 08:44@loveUSA: uh, classic response genius. Take a look at the country, Obama and his policies have saved this country. Look at unemployment, stock market, and manufacturing, our industries are roaring!
What ever you are about to say is invalid, p.s. saying the country is in the toilet compared to 8 years ago when Bush left office is plain ignorant and foolish.
posted @ Saturday, May 18, 2013 - 08:05Fighting for their own goals, against the country and it's people, like the repubs have been doing, will only ensure democrats in the White House for at least the next 2 terms. Hatred and down right treasonous actions towards the President and this country. Despicable!!

you are NOT allowed to block the road, ASS, you must be able to maintain a constant minimum speed to travel on or occupy streets in the USA in almost every single city/state. that is why there are bike lanes, because you cannot maintain minimum speeds on a pedal bike. However, you MUST obey all traffic laws.. look it up
posted @ Wednesday, September 12, 2012 - 06:21It's truly amazing how many people do not know the law. Bikers think they are above it as well. If you ride on the road, you obey all traffic laws, just the same as a car, scooter or motorcycle. You can receive a DUI/OUI on a bike

(Walmart is good too, but there will only be about 5-10 35k-50k per yr. positions and 100 7$ an hour position ), and yes the chicken plant is good too, but it's 9$ an hr jobs do not really help Athens or the surrounding area elevatequality of life. )
posted @ Sunday, February 26, 2012 - 08:54Just about time for people in Athens to fight this and make them move to another county or state..

Rep. Regina Quick, R-Athens, was one of two local delegates to score less than an "A+" in the Chamber of Commerce's annual legislative score card. She and I played phone tag Monday when I was reporting the story and I wasn't able to get her comments in a timely fashion. Instead, she sent over this statement Wednesday morning and she did not mince her words. (Links and italicized portions are my own; otherwise, it's as she wrote it.) Dear Friends: read more

The committee opted Tuesday night to put off deciding on the ordinance until, at the earliest, its next meeting. Of note: The Athens-Clarke County attorney highlighted that the proposed times are, in essence, placeholders for the commission to change or keep as it pleases.
