Serial killer executed with Texas' new drug supply

Among his other confessions was the slaying of an Illinois family in 1987. Those victims included Ruby Dardeen, who was eight months pregnant. Her fatal beating forced her to prematurely give birth. The newborn was killed along with her 3-year-old sibling.

I can't believe there are people who would stand up for a pos like this. why take so long?

Indiana Department of Transportation spokesman Matt Deitchley said crews had been out salting and plowing the area about 20 minutes before the crash. The roads were slick, but conditions didn't warrant closing the road, he said.

Unclear future for executions after Ohio's longest

@jasonterryy:

if you need to know the meaning of "despicable", look under DENNIS McGuire. you are like all the other bleeding hearts, you show no respect at all for the pregnant lady he raped and killed, you only have sympathy for this sorry POS, SOB. I am glad to know he is at last burning in hell tonight. good riddance.

Unclear future for executions after Ohio's longest

sweet, this POS got what he deserved. the only thing that could have made it better would have been to line the death chamber with pictures of the pregnant newlywed that he raped and murdered and let that be the last thing the sorry SOB saw before going to hell. justice was so sweet.

    Blog: Can we please fix the Oscars?

    Summary:  Fun facts: The first-ever Oscar ceremony, held in 1929, ran a brisk 15 minutes. By contrast, the longest was in 2002, clocking in at a monstrous 4 hours and change. As usual, there are things I loved about it and things I didn't. Rather than be snarky or complain, I'll offer a few suggestions on how the organizers might bring the show into the 21st century. Winter storm drama

    Athens-Clarke County police officers responded to Pinewood Estates North on a 911 call concerning a heated domestic dispute. it reportedly was an argument over the lack of heat and food in a family's trailer and a woman was threatening to stab anyone who tried to take away her 7-month-old child. State patrol responded also, from their post nearby on U.S. Highway 29 North. The situation apparently was resolved. An officer reported he was driving the woman and infant to another home in Athens. read more
