But McDonough and the other advisers did not tell Obama, leaving him to learn about the politically perilous results of the internal investigation from news reports more than two weeks later, officials said.
Well I don't believe that and besides where does the buck stop if ever in Washington

Yep, Deal should have seen this coming. Best thing to do is to pull the Bibles and return them to the Gideons. Next week someone will be wanting to drop off some kinda witchcraft pamphlets.
Still wonder why anyone would look in those drawers anyways....it's a park for Christ sake..get out and enjoy what God made.

When finished basic and was getting ready to ship off to Nam someone came to the barracks and dropped off a load of little red bibles from the Gideons. Carried it through 2 tours in swampland. Did it help??? Don't know, but it helped me. No one has the right to tell anyone that reading and believing in the Bible is wrong. nor do they have the right to dictate where it's done and by who. You an atheist don't read it. You would be hard pressed to find someone who gives a sit less than me

Nobody has built there because it floods. I have an idea!!! Lets get a bunch of people who care about the earth and the environment to clean it up for free !!! Then the city governments and politicians can bask in the limelight... and spend the money on something more important like a golf course

posted @ Thursday, May 16, 2013 - 22:58Spending years of my life in the military I swore an oath of loyalty that included following orders delivered by the Commander and Chief who ever that may be. Truth be told I have had little respect for the last 2 presidents and not a whole lot more for the ones preceding them. Somewhere along the line Washington has quit being " For the people, by the people"..Politics favor the rich at the favor of screwing the middle class. Obama's promise of hope and change was hollow when it was made. Only reason he became president was the claim that he could fix the disaster that Bush allowed to take place. Bottom line is the only people who will pay the bills to get the country back on it's feet are the middle class. Very sad but unfortunately what we have now will not go away and along with it a new normal for the middle class. The rich will continue to get richer

"I will not tolerate this kind of behavior at any agency, but especially at the IRS given the power that it has and the reach that it has into all of our lives."
Why do I have the feeling his comments are bullsit ??

The owners certainly had knowledge of what was going on and could have pulled the plug anytime they wanted. Seems to me they also should be liable. There is also the possibility they were being " compensated " to overlook the situation. Boggs always struck me as pretty arrogant and his family no better.

posted @ Wednesday, May 15, 2013 - 12:48You hit someone riding a bike or walking is bad. Running from the scene very bad. Up to me you would do serious jail time and walk or ride a bike the rest of your life cause you will never have a license again. I would also impound any savings or personal property to pay damages to the victims family. This sort of thing needs to stop. It's happened right here in Athens !!!

Makes sense I guess to the energy companies
Either way the American people get screwed

@PlanningParty: No kidding. I bought a 2003 Nissan XTerra years ago specifically because it had the old school 4x4 transfer case with a manual shifter not electronic push-button. I have had no trouble with it in 10 years. My mom had a 1993 Cherokee with the old transfer case and had no problems either. I wish that car makers would figure out that simpler is usually better.
