Did you misspell one of the 5 words in the headline? One of only 5 words?

posted @ Sunday, May 19, 2013 - 12:50Just keep your vehicle up to code. People run millions of dollars in drugs across the country every day. Before they leave, they check their drivers license, registration, insurance, lights, tires and dont have a cracked windshield. They also drive the speed limit.
posted @ Sunday, May 19, 2013 - 12:47For 30 years, all of our businesses leave all cash registers open at the end of the day. The thought was that if someone broke in, they wouldn't damage the register if they knew it had nothing in it. We've been broken into, mainly in downtown Atlanta near Georgia Tech, but we have never had to replace a register.
posted @ Sunday, May 19, 2013 - 12:43I thought the headline was "Obama Extorts Morehouse Graduates". I thought that was about right since blacks are in the worst spot they have been in since the 70's. Black unemployment is through the roof under 0bama.

posted @ Sunday, May 19, 2013 - 12:35
linnyt - Just to be totally picky, at the AP folks, spell check obviously did not know the phrase "per capita" and changed it to "per capital" ... don't you proofread? And yet, real spelling errors were totally missed ("April 22 thorugh May 3"). sigh.
All that aside, nice job, legal folks.

I was confused as well. I thought, that guy in Warner Robbins doesn't live in the Capital. That's Atlanta. Then I read about the per capital of Mercer Law school.

I did read that correctly, didn't I. "$10,000 for the successful execution."

You can't arrest them. If you did, the democrat party would lose a lot of votes.
(I'm sure this comment will be removed. Can't talk bad about *democrats* on this site.)
@JoelKight: is gonna cry. I hear him sniffling already.
posted @ Friday, May 17, 2013 - 13:25The sequester was cuts to next years' budget. There was no real threat of it closing. The sequester was just a failed political ploy by 0bama that is coming back to haunt him.
posted @ Friday, May 17, 2013 - 10:04@michaelme: The report is for the value. That means what it was worth in its current condition. It probably had a $200-300 value. Now, you are correct about the cost to replace the stolen items. I still think $1500 is too high for the replacement cost. I'd think somewhere closer to $1000 at most.

Ah, the old pit maneuver. Wonder why they didn't list the reason the police tried to stop these guys? Turn signal not working? No seat belts? Driving while Black?
I guess there are valid reasons to run someone off the road at high speed, but high speed alone would not be one of them.
I'm not a fan of frivolous high-speed pursuits.

Driving while Black? Have you seen pictures? Get rid of those racist bones, my friend.

Full text of the Use of Public Right-of-Ways ordinance draft is below. Highlight: Would set hours of operation of each Athens-Clarke County "building campus" -- e.g. City Hall, the courthouse and Dougherty Street government building -- at 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Park hours would either be set by the Athens-Clarke County manager or the Mayor and Commission. The ordinance has been derided by members of Occupy Athens and others as seeking to enforce a curfew on public property, thus damaging their First Amendment right to peacably assemble for long-term protests. read more
