In addition too all the above problems it causes, alcohol is not a performance enhancing drug. It is basically sugar, and it reeks havoc on the pancreas when used excessively. No one who takes his/her athletics seriously would have more than one or two drinks a day, if that.
Should be: In addition TO all the above............. I knew I'd git ya before it was over with.posted @ Wednesday, July 30, 2014 - 15:58

"Kasim says the city should be a safe place for unaccompanied children who cross the U.S. border."
Atlanta is not safe for the accompanied children that are legal citizens of the city. He really needs to get a grip, and I don't mean on the Federal money.

The Atlanta Mayor sees Federal Dollar Money. That's a welcoming sign to him. We know that the most money in Atlanta is spent on The Airport and the Water Dept. Both are his babies and both are corrupt as hell. Detroit anyone?posted @ Wednesday, July 30, 2014 - 07:41
Some people don't know how to act anymore. They've watched too much "Reality TV" and think fighting and acting a fool is normal. Something drastic will have to happen to get our people back to the days of sanity.posted @ Tuesday, July 29, 2014 - 11:54

We can not raise the world's children. We can not take care of our own. Check DFCS for more information. It's sad, yes, but true.posted @ Tuesday, July 29, 2014 - 10:13
@OCCountry: We've come a long way baby since the 60's. It might hold as much weight as the "Smoking helps with asthma" ads of the days gone bye bye. We're killing ourselves softly (uninformed) these days.posted @ Tuesday, July 29, 2014 - 09:48
Maybe Victoria's Secret needs to be by appointment only. Unlock the doors, then locks the doors behind them. Either that or close the joint down. Seems like hefty loots are disappearing from there every week.
Keep your bras on ladies, TeeWee's not considering such things as slathering deodorant on daily as another possibility, one of many things we have no real clue about. It's way more complicated than just not wearing a bra, besides the study was probably done by non bra wearing ...............MEN!posted @ Tuesday, July 29, 2014 - 07:53

@DanMatthews: I suspect those involved are dead. They'll be no trials or punishment on the town square to satisfy their families or those that need to keep this in the spotlight in 2014. Their punishment is out of the hands of living people and in the hands of a higher power. Believe me, their relatives believe in a higher power. As far as my relative is concerned, we did not celebrate the killing nor do we reenact it. What's done is done.

Folks, it's still an unsolved crime. I maintain that those of you who insist on burying this part of our recent past might just have a few relatives responsible for the last mass lynching in the United States.
No, but I did have a relative that shot a Athens KKK killer dead. What else ya got?posted @ Friday, July 25, 2014 - 10:48

The United States of America can not fix all the worlds problems nor can we welcome every displaced soul that is in harms way. If you watch the news daily, you will see we do not have the ability to take care of our own. It's just that simple.posted @ Friday, July 25, 2014 - 07:37

Summary: Fun facts: The first-ever Oscar ceremony, held in 1929, ran a brisk 15 minutes. By contrast, the longest was in 2002, clocking in at a monstrous 4 hours and change. As usual, there are things I loved about it and things I didn't. Rather than be snarky or complain, I'll offer a few suggestions on how the organizers might bring the show into the 21st century. Athens-Clarke County police officers responded to Pinewood Estates North on a 911 call concerning a heated domestic dispute. it reportedly was an argument over the lack of heat and food in a family's trailer and a woman was threatening to stab anyone who tried to take away her 7-month-old child. State patrol responded also, from their post nearby on U.S. Highway 29 North. The situation apparently was resolved. An officer reported he was driving the woman and infant to another home in Athens. read more
