You could have suggested (among many options) cutting spending and living within our means, utilizing specie backed by physical reserves of gold and silver or any number of other options, but NO let's raise taxes.
Merde, the Gov would tax the air we breathe if they could. The already tax rainfall run off (see your Clarke Co. water bill for more details).

What do want? A cookie?
Yet another classic example of socialist cleptocrat advocating for the Free S**T Army. We were a constitutional republic until the lazy and inept figured out they could vote themselves bread and circuses. What we really need is amnesty for 10 million illegals so they can start voting themselves free s**t on our dime too. Either way we the taxpayers (what few of us are left) end up paying interest on borrowed money created out of thin air banked my NOTHING.
You do realize you're celebrating the increase of the National Debt, the increase in government spending, and the decrease in the value of our dollar? I am guessing probably not, but hey your side 'won' so golf for you and have another cookie.
Bear in mind that this is all Kabuki brought to you by the real owners of the country, The Federal Reserve Bank. They have long ago bought and paid for Congress and the President with monies created out of thin air.
The leftwing and rightwing are still part of the same corrupt political bird that keeps the sheep in line with the illusion of choice.posted @ Thursday, October 17, 2013 - 05:32

Oh my goodness, the sky is falling, the sky is falling!!!!! What did we ever do before the Federal Reserve Bank hijacked our currency allowing idiot politicians to spend without consequence (either raise taxes or cut spending). Oh yeah, we were a prosperous, thriving nation. Big government programs are the cause of the problem, not the solution.
Don't be fooled folks, according to our government, perpetual debt slavery is the plan AND the solution.
Now the Affordable Care Act (Obummer Care) will create ANOTHER unaffordable government program that will accelerate the amount of fiat money created out of thin air by the Federal Reserve. Sadly, as the amount of currency in circulation increases, the value of the money decreases. Currently under Quantatative Easy Infinity, we are devaluing (stealing) $85 BILLION a month from the American Taxpayers. This hidden theft/tax is called inflation (at 6%-8% a year) and it is the mechanism whereby we rob directly from the people that can afford it the least.
History repeatedly illustrates that no economy based on fiat money has survived long. We are on borrowed time.
Again, this is all by design, politicians are just window dressing to perpetuate the illusion of choice. I reality, we have no real choice. The real owners of the country have long ago bought and paid for Congress and the President.
FWIW, were a Constitutional Republic, NOT a democracy, but the Free S**t Army has learned they can vote themselves bread and circuses so our days as a Republic are numbered.posted @ Saturday, October 12, 2013 - 08:46
Nothing will EVER change until we abolish the eliminate the banking cabal that controls our country. These crooks allow politicians to spend without consequence while they print fiat money by the train load.
What they are doing is pumping $85 billion of worthless paper into our economy. Guess what? The value of our money falls proportionately while costs continue to rise. It's called inflation, but it is really a hidden tax (about 6%-8% a year). Think of the riots if our taxes went up every year by the same amount!!! That s**t wouldn't fly. It's the same thing, but we're paying that money to a banking cabal that creates 'money' out of thin air. They couldn't wait to get us off the gold and silver standard so they could print unlimited amounts of funny money without the physical limiting factor of having to have specie reserves equal to amount of paper in circulation.
The Federal Reserve Bank, a privately owned 'for profit' bank, the fiat currency it creates and fractional reserve banking is the biggest swindle and greatest threat to our Country.

You may find it interesting, but I do agree with you on some of the points you've made. There is a need to provide for and maintain roads (interstate commerce), infrastructure and defense. I am an advocate for and a strong proponent of the Constitutionally restrained government as it is was originally laid out. That is NOT what we have now. What we have is broad encroachment by an increasingly greedy, over reaching Government.
Our Republic was sold down the river in 1913 with the creation or the Federal Reserve and the IRS. Since that time, we've been on a engineered slippery slope towards collapse of the Grand Experiment. It's not a matter of if, it is a matter of when and how bad. There has not been one fiat currency that has ever survived for long, and that is a FACT. When you create money out of nothing, backed by nothing, it is eventually worth nothing.
I would recommend reading "The Creature From Jekyl Island" by G. Edward Griffin as well as "Tragedy and Hope" by Carrol Quigley.
Since you brought up Syria, don't you find it interesting that your boy Obama has sent small arms and ammunition to promote the cause of freedom for a group of terrorists? Yet here in the U.S. he and the other Fabian Socialists want to take them away? As Hitler said in 1933, "To conquer a nation, first disarm its citizens."

It is sad and naive to think that it couldn't happen here. Those who don't know the past are condemned to repeat it."

State patrol responded also, from their post nearby on U.S. Highway 29 North. The situation apparently was resolved.
