Authorities raid illegal casinos in Clarke and Jackson counties
In my opinion these guys are pretty old school, most gambling is done online nowadays. I'm surprised people still hit up in-person gambling outside of a casino.
I recently read an article on online gambling: http://lawblog.legalmatch.com/2012/03/08/is-online-gambling-legal-laws-g.... But it didn't talk about gambling on a phone like on an iPhone. Anyone know if gambling on a smartphone is illegal? Thx

Draft language of so-called curfew ordinance
ColtrainFull text of the Use of Public Right-of-Ways ordinance draft is below. Highlight: Would set hours of operation of each Athens-Clarke County "building campus" -- e.g. City Hall, the courthouse and Dougherty Street government building -- at 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Park hours would either be set by the Athens-Clarke County manager or the Mayor and Commission. The ordinance has been derided by members of Occupy Athens and others as seeking to enforce a curfew on public property, thus damaging their First Amendment right to peacably assemble for long-term protests. read more
