A hundred people out of 10,000, in a building that, despite the name on the sign, is hardly "UGA". Of course there's exceptions. If the point of the comment was simply to troll, it succeeded.
Oh, and if traffic on Prince Avenue is making you late and risking your job, then what other course do you suggest? Maybe there's a job in Oconee County...the movie theater will be hiring ushers soon.

Nope. It's the people who think they can get whatever they want, despite the damage they do in the process, that are the real losers.
Of course, you'll be at the forum, standing up for your right to commute wherever you want, right?

Oooh, mommy! The big man frightens me!
riff-raff - Just how would you suggest someone who is driving in on 129 get to Milledge Ave or Broad St.???
Stay off of Prince Avenue. It's clogged, it makes you late for work, you get reprimanded and fired. Take the bypass instead - that's what it's for. Broad is reached from the commuter lot at exit 8. Milledge from exit 7.
How much simpler could it be? Unless you like traffic and stop-and-go progress?

Jefferson to UGA: Prince Avenue vs. the bypass... bypass is 2 miles longer, but has 20 or so fewer traffic lights. Oh, and 3 minutes shorter.
How that isn't more efficient to somebody who can get reprimanded and fired for being stuck in traffic, I don't understand.
Simple Man - I'm sure it makes perfect sense to TJS that any inconvenience, cost, or inefficiency, foisted upon others is perfectly justifiable, so long as it serves the purpose of keeping Athens pure and unstained.
It makes perfect sense to me that people who come from out of county and drive on our surface streets must have some motive beyond getting to their destination. I hope you at least stop at Ike & Jane for some coffee and a bear claw, because if you don't, you're just inconveniencing others.
"Pure and unstained" has nothing to do with it. Keeping it liveable for those who live here is what it's all about. Atlanta got divided by a superhighway; Athens doesn't need the same thing. We don't maintain our roads for your convenience, but for transportation. Surface streets clogged with automobiles who won't use alternatives built for them are exactly what the issue is.

There are several exits from the bypass that are much closer to UGA. A smart commuter would take one of those, rather than take a suface street clear across town.
Curls - A drive that normally take 10 minutes took me 45 minutes, I was late for work and was reprimanded.
Must have been some emergency mopping that needed doing. Tomorrow, leave the house an hour earlier. Or, choose a better route.
