Why did Donnan and his family end up with so much more of the money than Crabtree? Doesn't look like their little partnership was split equally. Crabtree was smart to be the first one to plea guilty.posted @ Friday, April 11, 2014 - 10:20

Got extra wood, extra tank for the grill, always have stocked pantry and deep freezers. Problem is I also have generators and think my neighbors will evacuate to my house if we start losing power.

@Chris White: Chris, could you possibly give some historical background on "profit" ABH made 1) before the newspaper went online. 2) before the newspaper built their large building.
What percentage of profit was made through the ads which were printed in our daily paper VERSUS the percentage of profit from individuals who paid for a subscription to the paper.
I think it will take corporate advertising not individual subscriptions to pay off the debt of the Taj Mahal built on Thomas St.posted @ Sunday, January 19, 2014 - 14:55

Something is off with this story.
Two white men wearing dark stocking hats this past Sunday when it was almost 60 degrees in Athens. I don't think so.
Also, who interviews for jobs on a Sunday. How did the two men get to Gainesville in the first place?

no explanation needed..the 6/22/13 those cases where dismissed minus the dui @CharlotteLadyGardner @FairFacts
the facts are this:: I have a limited driving permit from the state of GA,stemming from the dui charge. So technically I wasn't in the wrong. Why was I arrested? oohh,ok I'll wait for those answers!!
Dismissed...I don't think so!
Endangering the life of a child-DUI....Nolle
Open Container Violation....Guilty plea
Simple batter against police...Nolle
Disorderly conduct....Guilty plea
Not a wise idea to get arrested while on probation!posted @ Sunday, January 12, 2014 - 18:14

Summary: Fun facts: The first-ever Oscar ceremony, held in 1929, ran a brisk 15 minutes. By contrast, the longest was in 2002, clocking in at a monstrous 4 hours and change. As usual, there are things I loved about it and things I didn't. Rather than be snarky or complain, I'll offer a few suggestions on how the organizers might bring the show into the 21st century. Athens-Clarke County police officers responded to Pinewood Estates North on a 911 call concerning a heated domestic dispute. it reportedly was an argument over the lack of heat and food in a family's trailer and a woman was threatening to stab anyone who tried to take away her 7-month-old child. State patrol responded also, from their post nearby on U.S. Highway 29 North. The situation apparently was resolved. An officer reported he was driving the woman and infant to another home in Athens. read more
