If you check the Clerk of Court website, you will see this guy has a record a mile long...including a DUI in 2011, multiple charges of driving without a license, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Oh yes, guilty of cocaine possession/purchase.
Why was he FREE to drive and hurt an innocent 66 years old lady?posted @ Wednesday, December 4, 2013 - 20:37
Great job ACCPD!
What I want to know is how many convicted felons are carrying GUNS in our fair city. If you are a convicted felon and have a gun, don't pass GO...go straight to prison!posted @ Wednesday, December 4, 2013 - 16:33
There is no mention of a father. Maybe he was at work.
If the girl was aware she had anger issues, was she getting counseling for these know issues. Maybe the court should demand for her to get some help, instead of just putting her on probation.posted @ Wednesday, December 4, 2013 - 13:28
@melmarino: What are the stats for burglaries on that street?
Don't think this was a random burglar roaming the area. Many people on Highland have alarm systems. I wouldn't call this a "prime area."posted @ Wednesday, December 4, 2013 - 10:02

I think it is a legitimate point for ABH to make! Why are public employees exempt? They are no better than the man/woman working in private industry. This law was probably passed in order to protect LEGISLATORS.posted @ Monday, December 2, 2013 - 19:35

Media is wrong for posting photos of this guy or anyone else accused (and not convicted...yet) of child abuse. I absolutely hate anyone that hurts a child and would fight to the death to protect a child. But...if there is some kind of sick misunderstanding and this guy is innocent, his life is still ruined from stories (and pictures) like this one.
IMO, I am thankful that media informs the public!
In your statement you only condemn media for reporting child abuse arrests...how about rape, murder, armed robbery, domestic violence etc. when the person has been arrested. To the victim, or potential victims, these crimes are just as devastating. Your logic is difficult to understand...should the public be kept in the dark until ALL criminals are convicted in a court of law?
With 43 (FORTY THREE) charges against Delk, the GBI, ACCPD, & UGAPD investigating, I think they have dotted their I's and crossed their T's before making this arrest!
With Joe Johnson and ABH bringing this to the public's attention, it might deter some child predators or encourage parents to monitor their children's online activity.posted @ Thursday, November 28, 2013 - 09:18

No mention of a father...maybe that is the relative's home where the boy went. At 14 yrs old I think the boy can appear in court and ask to live with a particular parent.posted @ Tuesday, November 26, 2013 - 13:25

Am I the only one who's confused about this story?
Wonder if the former co-worker and his girlfriend were the ones who broke into the house through the window while he was at the store...in the first place. Then came back for a second round.
Why hasn't the former co-worker been arrested? I would think the victim knew his name.posted @ Monday, November 25, 2013 - 18:16

When I went on an assignment to do a story about a K-9 training class in Oconee County on Tuesday, I never thought I?d experience a dog attack. But after some prodding by a couple of deputies, I put on the ?bite suit? dog handlers use to protect their bodies while training their K-9 partners. Actually, I was helped into the thick, stiff garment. At best, my attempts at walking seemed like the stiff movements of a robot from a 1950s movie. Our photographer, A.J. Reynolds, donned one as well and he actually seemed upbeat for the opportunity to face one of the dogs. read more
