Congrats to Ms. Davis and everyone else who is "living and aging well." I am curious as to what age you have to be in order to participate.

posted @ Friday, October 12, 2012 - 13:11This guy has been in front of every judge in Athens-Clarke County and is still on the streets? What's a criminal have to do in this town to stay incarcerated? Beat his wife to a pulp? Oh, yea...he already did that....geez!

@oneloveone: The article says: "They had four children together, and Johnson treated as his own Bugg’s three kids from a previous relationship." So Ms. Bugg is the mother of seven children.

She does NOT need either of her own two children back...ever!
She's a POS!
I have no patience for people who hurt innocent children. So what if she ate a candy bar, ground her or take something away. Not run for 3 hours. Totally uncalled for!

I heard about this on the news yesterday afternoon. Apparently, the father works overseas and flew home just hours before his daughter died. Too sad for words.

They pay nominal interest on my "interest-bearing" account and now they're charging me to use my debit card?! I left my last bank because they wanted to charge me for "teller transactions." Goodbye and good riddance BOA - I'll take my money now.

12 months probation?? Really? The penalty for running a stop sign is stiffer than than!

Rep. Regina Quick, R-Athens, was one of two local delegates to score less than an "A+" in the Chamber of Commerce's annual legislative score card. She and I played phone tag Monday when I was reporting the story and I wasn't able to get her comments in a timely fashion. Instead, she sent over this statement Wednesday morning and she did not mince her words. (Links and italicized portions are my own; otherwise, it's as she wrote it.) Dear Friends: read more

The committee opted Tuesday night to put off deciding on the ordinance until, at the earliest, its next meeting. Of note: The Athens-Clarke County attorney highlighted that the proposed times are, in essence, placeholders for the commission to change or keep as it pleases.
