Let's all hope this man is a one term Congressman. He is as dumb as a rock in a plowed field. I personally spent some time in his office with him earlier this year and his primary goal in life is doing good for Doug Collins. Northeast Georgia and its people are the last thing he cares about. Look at his record during his tenure. Another loser serving himself and not the people who elected him.

She should be glad no one ran over her and her hubby during the stop, or that they did not use a pit manuever to pull them over. Pay the fine and be done with it Reese, and come back to visit sometime.

posted @ Friday, April 19, 2013 - 12:49It's idiots like this that give bikers a bad name and every safe biker has to pay for these idiots mistakes. I have saw aggressive bikers weaving in and out of traffic just to run red lights. I have heard bikers swearing at driviers for not turning left in front of other drivers. I have had to brake hard to avoid smashing bikers in Athens. There are a lot of idiots on bicycles in Athens, now they are pedaling drunk. If someone had hit this idiot on a bicycle she would be injured seriously, or dead. Someone would have been tagged with vehicular homicide or at least sued for a large sum. Most insurances will settle to avoid court costs.
To the safe bicylist you have my respect and keep on pedaling, you know what a 3500 pound car will do to a 45 pound peice of tubing. To the Policeman who made the arrest, my thanks and keep up the good work.
I would deny bail until trial time. There is a flight risk involved. Let these 2 fine examples of societies failure sit in jail until trail date and give them some things to think about. There is no more sorry an individual who will attack and rob the elderly. Justice should be a tall tree and a short rope for these two.

posted @ Wednesday, March 27, 2013 - 12:23The study assumes every state will expand its Medicaid program, but Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal has said the state will not expand the program.
It is the law of the land now regardless of how we feel about it and Governor Deal is going to allow the citizens of the state to pay the taxes to benefit other states and leave about 4 billion on the table. Georgia needs to participate. We will be paying for it anyway why not get some of the benefits? I don't guess ole Nathan has figured a way to get his family involved where they skim off the top of the Medicaid benefits.

posted @ Wednesday, March 6, 2013 - 15:50offer a 1000 dollar reward for information and the culprits will be ratted out before sunset the next day. There is no honor among vandals now. It would be cheaper to pay the reward than to pay deputies to investigate vandalism. Then make them pay restitutions and the reward money as part of the fine.

posted @ Wednesday, February 27, 2013 - 08:27mitigated damages of 1000 dollars a day. Pocket change for United Contractors. What was the solution to the problem of girders? How do you repair a girder that was not up to spec? Scary thought some of the subs that are building these structures are using so many illegals to do the work and the work is shotty at best. When will these contractors learn "You get what you pay for" the cheapest is not always the best and the best is not always the cheapest. This should also be shouldered by the DOT project manager he was there to check the work and check specs. This will happen more and more as contracts are let to Contractors who only manage projects.
