Top travel destinations for 2013

February 13, 2013

Even though it's chilly out, spring is right around the corner. So why not start planning your travel locations for spring and summer?

Business Insider recently posted a great story listing the top 13 places you need to travel to in 2013.

A few places seem like common choices, like New York City, Nashville or London, but some locations might surprise you. For instance, Cartagena, Colombia, has had a 300 percent growth in tourism since 2002 even though Colombia used to be associated with drug-related violence.

Have you ever been to any of the locations on the list?

Are there any other destinations you think should have been included?

Links to Banner-Herald's award-winning sports stories

The Athens Banner-Herald sports staff combined to win 11 individual awards on Sunday at the Georgia Sports Writers Association's annual meeting in Marietta. You can get a few more details on that in this story ? "Banner-Herald sports staff wins 11 awards" ? and I thought I'd provide some links to the winning stories for the curious. The awards were for the sports staff's work in 2012. read more
