Top 5 musicians who hate their own work

February 26, 2013

Cracked recently posted a funny article listing five of the most iconic songs that are hated by the artists who created them, and some of the people included are surprising.

According to the article, the top 5 are:

5. Radiohead - "Creep"

4. Weezer - Pinkerton Album

3. The Who - "Pinball Wizard"

2. Warrant - "Cherry Pie"

1. Led Zeppelin - "Stairway to Heaven"

Thom Yorke, the lead singer of Radiohead, has stormed off the stage at concerts where "Creep" was requested. The lead singer of Warrant, Jafi Lane, wrote their hit "Cherry Pie" in 15 minutes on the back of a pizza box, after the record label wanted a clear hit single on the album.

Even though Jimmy Page called "Stairway to Heaven" "the essence of the band," lead singer of Zeppelin Robert Plant absolutely hated the song. According to the article, Plant despised the song so much he gave a donation to a radio station that refused to ever play it.

Are there any other bands or artists you know that hate a song they created?

    Blog: Watching movies by myself

Summary:  I'm not saying it's lonely to be a movie critic, but we often find ourselves seated alone in an empty theatre when we're watching new stuff. I know people who say they won't go see anything unless they have at least one other person to go with, but I've always enjoyed having the place to myself.
