The sun shines on Athens again!

I'm not normally one to get affected by the winter doldrums or SAD (seasonal affective disorder), and this year is no different. But man oh man is it nice to see the sun out right now.

I guess I hadn't really noticed until it came back, but I really missed the sunshine. It had kind of seemed like it was just going to be nasty forever, with that miserable gray mist hanging over Athens like a burial shroud.

Now it's a gorgeous day out and even though I'm stuck in a cubicle I can't get this stupid grin off my face.

This is the view from outside my office. Beautiful. Bonus points if you can guess where it is Smile

Anyone else glad to get some vitamin D? I'm sure I'm not the only one.

 

On a side note, isn't the quality of photos you can get from your phone these days incredible?

    Chuck Williams wants your money

    State Rep. Chuck Williams, R-Watkinsville, is holding two fundraisers next week, indicating that he expects to have opposition either in July or November. The fundraisers are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Holiday Inn in downtown Athens and Tuesday at Springhill Suites in Oconee County. He's asking for a $100, $250 or $500 donation, but contributions aren't necessary to attend. Secretary of State Brian Kemp, Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black, Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens and state Sen. Bill Cowsert, R-Athens, are the hosts. read more
