'Sugar Babies' attract 'Daddies' at UGA

Hundreds of college students are taking advantage of an online dating service that sets them up with wealthy men in exchange for help covering tuition.

According to Maureen Downey at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, SeekingArrangement.com users are referred to as "Sugar Babies" or "Sugar Daddies." The company says the average amount received from a Sugar Daddy is around $3,000 dollars a month. 

 

What's even more appalling is the list of the Top 20 Fastest Growing Sugar Baby Schools, which shows Georgia State University leading with 292 new sign ups in 2012 and the University of Georgia at number 8 with 148 sign ups.   

In fact, many of the top growing schools are based in the south, including the University of Central Florida, Florida State University and the University of Alabama.
