Special K in a different way!

Have you ever heard of the drug Ketamine or "Special K"? Well the drug usually reserved for music festivals and Phish shows is now being used in the treatment of depression.

NPR reports that research has shown that the use of the hallucinogen Ketamine aids in the treatment of depression, allieviating symptoms in users for up to two weeks, of course with some unique side effects.. http://n.pr/xHOibr

Other psychedelic drugs have apparently aided in the relief of other ailments as well. National Georgraphic's series, Drugs Inc. featured users of psychedelic mushrooms and Ibogaine, a drug derived from the rootbark of an African plant.

The mushrooms reportedly helped sufferers of chronic "cluster" headaches, also known as "suicide headaches" because of their exteme intensity of pain, while Ibogaine helped heroin addicts get clean.
