Paul Broun

November 10, 2012

I think the citizens of Georgia, and Brouns district should take pride in the fact that they won first prize, for electing to office, the most stupid congressmen in US history. This is a singular and special honor. Perhaps the US mint could coin, two cent pieces ,and put his head on one side and a dead brain on the other side to honor his acheivement. If he could take us back in time to where his brain is , it would be truly wonderful, because we could look out the window and see dinosaur in our back yards. In the mean time I think the state of Georgia, needs to investigate the water systems to find the cause of wide spread brain malfunction in the state.

Rep. Regina Quick pulls no punches on Chamber scorecard

Instead, she sent over this statement Wednesday morning and she did not mince her words. (Links and italicized portions are my own; otherwise, it's as she wrote it.) Dear Friends: read more

UPDATED: Draft language of so-called curfew ordinance

The committee opted Tuesday night to put off deciding on the ordinance until, at the earliest, its next meeting. Of note: The Athens-Clarke County attorney highlighted that the proposed times are, in essence, placeholders for the commission to change or keep as it pleases.   Full text of the Use of Public Right-of-Ways ordinance draft is below. read more
