Oh, the drama of signing day

February 5, 2013

It's signing day eve.  Take a look at this quick snapshot of what to expect for tomorrow:

  • DE Davin Ballemy, a 6-foot-5, 240-pound defensive from Chamblee High School, will announce at 11 a.m. Wednesday whether he will sign with UGA.  He drew attention with a recent tweet that said, "I'm ready.  I know where I want to spend my next 4 years now."
  • Cornelius Elder is the 4-star athlete from Nashville, Tennessee.  The AJC reports that he will not announce on signing day.  Perdue recently gave him a basketball offer.  Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Auburn, and UCLA all presented him football offers.
  • Tolando Cleveland is a defensive line back from Hillgrove High School.  He switched from Georgia Tech to Mississippi State last Thursday.  He said, "I had a change of heart, and a lot of it had to do with Coach Kelly leaving."   Charles Kelly was formerly the Georgia Tech DB coach.  Last month he left and is now Florida's LB coach.  "I told them my reasoning and they respected my decision.  It was a tough conversation.  But I had to do what I had to do."

What are your predictions for signing day?

Do you foresee any surprises tomorrow?
