In reply to: Dupuy: Gun dealing should carry responsibilities »

February 14, 2013

By commenting here on yet another Tina Dupuy award winning syndicated pile of high school rubbish am I unwittingly adding to her statistics thereby enabling her to continue down the road of idiocy?

By commenting at all have I given her another few minutes of time? How can I ignore her? A good question always has the seed of a good answer. In the future I will walk down to the river and talk with the rocks until common sense and balance are restored.

Considering the journalists who do the journalism and the opinion pieces how can I separate them? Looks like I'll be having long conversations with the rocks and the river current.

Instead, she sent over this statement Wednesday morning and she did not mince her words. (Links and italicized portions are my own; otherwise, it's as she wrote it.) Dear Friends: read more

UPDATED: Draft language of so-called curfew ordinance

The committee opted Tuesday night to put off deciding on the ordinance until, at the earliest, its next meeting. Of note: The Athens-Clarke County attorney highlighted that the proposed times are, in essence, placeholders for the commission to change or keep as it pleases.   Full text of the Use of Public Right-of-Ways ordinance draft is below. read more
