"I stopped to get gas (drugs), and a guy sitting on the curb (my dealer) motioned for me to come over. I tried to hustle him, or he tried to hustle me, and in the resulting confusion, I got shot. Not wanting to involve law enforcement, I went home, but I realized band-aids wouldn't solve the problem, so I went to the hospital (where I expect to be treated at no cost to me).

You just have to know how to read between the lines.
