In reply to: Rescue dog helps boy cope with Asberger's »

This article is about my family. Gregory is my son. I want to be clear, in my story to the reporter, Karah-Leigh, I called Asperger's ONE of several on the spectrum of Autism Spectrum Disorders. I also said that it's sometimes referred to High-Functioning Autism. Those two sentences seem to have gotten a bit mixed up in the final version. And yes, I do know that as of next year that it will no longer be referred to as Asperger's. For the purposes of this article, though, I didn't think it was important to get into the changes in terminology. To our family, it doesn't matter what the experts want to change it to, as long as our son is happy and has the support he needs. The point of the article, which I think most realize, is to let everyone know what a difference Keira has made in our lives and in the life of our son Gregory. A few misspellings, while a bit irritating, are not a big deal to me.

Thanks for the positive comments! And thanks for telling our story Karah-Leigh!
