In reply to: Clarke Central named "breakthrough school" by national group »

November 17, 2012

To the teachers, students, and administration of Clarke Central High School--Congratulations on a job well done. Dr. Hooker leads by example and he empowers teachers and staff to do what they need to do to get student progress and achievement moving upward.

Please do not be discouraged or pulled down by the people who are constantly blasting the school and its system.

There are many people who appreciate your work--look at the quality of the sentiments being expressed by the community here.

I look forward to reading many more great things about Clarke County! >)

The committee opted Tuesday night to put off deciding on the ordinance until, at the earliest, its next meeting. Of note: The Athens-Clarke County attorney highlighted that the proposed times are, in essence, placeholders for the commission to change or keep as it pleases.   Full text of the Use of Public Right-of-Ways ordinance draft is below. read more
