An individual's vote is for sale only if they allow it to be.

It is true that corporate and union money are the two biggest financiers of campaigns. I would venture to say however, that it is taxpayer money that actually buys the votes of many, making government itself, the highest bidder. We need only to look at the massive debt and deficits we face, for confirmation.

Until we cease voting based on what we believe is in it for us as individuals or groups, and begin voting on what we see as best for the country as a whole, and it's generations to come, that will not change.
