No smoking while driving?

February 6, 2012

The CDC recently reported secondhand smoke exposure has been linked with breathing problems and allergy symptoms, and more restrictions are needed to prevent this.  A government research report concluded 1 in 5 high school and middle school students ride in cars while others are smoking, and research shows these smoke-filled cars are even more dangerous than smoke-filled bars. The CDC advises parents not to smoke in their cars or homes, but if forced to, at least open a window to allow for the smoke to be released.

Do you think Georgia needs to adopt a law that would ban smoking while driving, or is the CDC being too cautious?
