Natalie Wood: Accidental death or murder?

January 15, 2013

The Los Angeles Coroner's Office released a new report yesterday about the tragic death of actress Natalie Wood.

Over 30 years ago, her death was filed as an accident. The new report reclassifies it as "drowning and other undetermined factors." The new report says bruises and scratches on her face wrists, knees and ankles may have occurred before her drowning.

What was your favorite Natalie Wood movie?

What do you think happened the night of Wood's death?

What do you think about the legitimacy of this newly surfacing information, over thirty years after Wood's death?

Rep. Regina Quick pulls no punches on Chamber scorecard

Rep. Regina Quick, R-Athens, was one of two local delegates to score less than an "A+" in the Chamber of Commerce's annual legislative score card. Instead, she sent over this statement Wednesday morning and she did not mince her words. (Links and italicized portions are my own; otherwise, it's as she wrote it.) Dear Friends: read more

UPDATED: Draft language of so-called curfew ordinance

The committee opted Tuesday night to put off deciding on the ordinance until, at the earliest, its next meeting. Of note: The Athens-Clarke County attorney highlighted that the proposed times are, in essence, placeholders for the commission to change or keep as it pleases.   Full text of the Use of Public Right-of-Ways ordinance draft is below. read more
