Most embarrassing moment of all time

February 17, 2012

As I sit here and reflect on the past 21 years of my life, I can recall several horrifically embarrassing moments. There were times in kindergarten where I was caught picking my nose, middle school was filled with an assortment of food stuck in my braces, and high school. Oh, high school. Where do I even begin? High school is the time where the most insignificant things can be "the end of your life". Good thing that's over with. I have even had a few embarassing moments in college (a few). For example, yesterday I was witnessed pumping gas at the gas station in my karate uniform (white belt and all). I think it is safe to say that I have had ALOT of embarrassing moments in my time, but the most embarrassing moment occurred when I was in middle school at a football game.

I remember cheerleading for the football game on a Friday night in front of my entire school and their mothers (and fathers, cousins, siblings, etc). All of the cheerleaders ran onto the field and held up the banner for the football team to run through. Before the team walked onto the field, I noticed that the banner started to tear down the center. Being the courageous hero that I am, I darted to the sidelines, got some tape, and began to tape the banner. Apparently I was so set on fixing the banner that I didn't hear everyone yelling at me to move out of the way (I guess I just figured they were cheering me on). Seconds later, I was trampled by the entire football team (including my father who was the coach at the time).

You would think that it doesn't get worse than that. I mean seriously, how could it? I was just trampled by all of the guys in my grade (and my dad), in front of everyone else in my grade and was lying on the football field, crying. Well, unfortunately folks, it gets worse. A kid on the teams dad was in charge of filming a "highlight video" that each cheerleader and football player got a copy of at the end of the season. You better believe my little "incident" was the grand finale. Who needs Youtube or America's Funniest Home Videos when everyone at your school has a copy on video?

What is your most embarrassing moment?
