Monster Bears and Templar Knights

January 14, 2013

Howdy, Athens Talkers -

I just published my second book this weekend, and I wanted to share a free Kindle version with all my local, anonymous Athenians:

http://www.amazon.com/Metaphysical-Estrangement-Alfred-Berger-ebook/dp/B...

It is the first of three books in a fiction series I'm working on right now. A man is suddenly transported from his familiar time and space to a strange desert - a portal to infinite parallel universes. He's soon on the run, trying to figure out how to get back home while being chased by an unseen entity that crushes everything in its path. There is also an excommunicated Templar knight lost in the surreal world (he has a more sinister agenda), as well as a monster-bear-like creature and a mystical whale... and many other strange things, like doppelgangers and mysterious women.

The free download ends at 11:59pm on January 14th - tonight!

It is also available on paperback here: http://www.amazon.com/The-Metaphysical-Estrangement-Alfred-Berger/dp/148...

And also on Nook, for you Barnes and Noble folks: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-metaphysical-estrangement-of-alfred-...

If you check it out, I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for reading!

Erich

Pop Addict Book Review: "Facing the Music and Living to Talk About It" by Nick Carter

As a huge Backstreet Boys fan, I was little perplexed on reading Nick Carter?s book.  It?s not like reading a book about Elvis Presley or The Beatles. I didn?t live through those moments. I didn?t see them in person. But as someone who has followed Nick?s career since I became a fan in 1998, not just in the Backstreet Boys, but as a solo artist, I?ve always thought we had a lot in common besides being the same age. read more

Links to Banner-Herald's award-winning sports stories

The Athens Banner-Herald sports staff combined to win 11 individual awards on Sunday at the Georgia Sports Writers Association's annual meeting in Marietta. You can get a few more details on that in this story ? "Banner-Herald sports staff wins 11 awards" ? and I thought I'd provide some links to the winning stories for the curious. The awards were for the sports staff's work in 2012. read more
