Levi jeans- Does size matter?

February 24, 2012

Levi recently created an ad for their new jeans that was supposed to spark individuality, confidence and diversity, but unfortunetly, all it sparked was controversy.

The jean ad was titled "Hottness comes in all shapes and sizes" and featured the side view of three skinny models with pretty much identical body types. All of the girls looked to be around a size 2 or 4. Obviously, these models are not an accurate illustration of the typical American girl nor do they model what the ad is supposedly standing for- average woman, being beautiful regardless of their size.

What do you think about the ad?

Do you think Levi should be bashed for this ad?

I know people who say they won't go see anything unless they have at least one other person to go with, but I've always enjoyed having the place to myself. No cartoons on racism

As you might imagine, the vast majority of the editorial cartoons available these days for publication through the syndicate which supplies cartoons to the Athens Banner-Herald/OnlineAthens are addressing the situation in Ferguson, Mo., where the fatal shooting of a black teen by a white police officer has touched off a number of demonstrations -- some peaceful, but many not at all peaceful, with tear gas fired by police officers and gunshots fired by some protester. read more
