Gov. Jindal gives new meaning to the words: compassionate conservatives

In Louisiana, Gov. Jindal slashes aid to the dying. His executive order will end Medicaid coverage of hospice services as of February 1. He is also cutting a program that helps children with behavioral health problems while launching a study committee on school safety.

All this on top of refusing Medicare funds for his state.

    UPDATED: Draft language of so-called curfew ordinance

    The committee opted Tuesday night to put off deciding on the ordinance until, at the earliest, its next meeting.
